Pastor Steven Furtick Wins Another Grammy Award at 68th Ceremonies

Steven Furtick scored another victory at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, earning a nod as a co-writer on “Hard Fought Hallelujah,” which won Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song.

The track, co-written by Brandon Lake, Benjamin William Hastings, Chris Brown, and Rodrick Simmon, brings Furtick’s total to six nominations and two wins in the last five years.

Elevation Worship was also nominated for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for “I Know a Name” but did not win, bringing their Grammy nominations to nine and wins to one.

Formed in 2006, Elevation Worship is the worship team from Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC, where Furtick serves as lead pastor, songwriter, and producer. Furtick also travels with the band during their “Elevation Nights” tour, where they perform hits such as “Graves Into Gardens,” “RATTLE!,” “Do It Again,” and “The Blessing.”

Elevation Church is one of four megachurches responsible for producing and releasing nearly 100% of the top worship songs over the last decade, including five songs in the top 25. Their songs were streamed over 2.14 billion times across all platforms in 2023.
