SBC Worship Minister Born With No Arms Arrested for Producing Child Sex Abuse Material
A worship minister born without arms has been arrested and charged with possessing and creating child sexual abuse material.
Jon Paul Sheptock, 49, of Paul Sheptock Ministries, who was also the worship minister of First Montgomery Baptist Church and sang before Donald Trump in 2023, is married with several teenage children.
He was arrested late last month at a state women’s prison in Central Texas, where he was ministering, by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
According to court records reviewed by ABC13, a woman testified that nine years ago, when she was 17-years-old, Sheptock accessed her iCloud account and stole a nude photo she took of herself.
“After the defendant (Sheptock) sent the image of the victim, he told her that he wanted more explicit images of her. The defendant (Sheptock) then sent her a video depicting someone being physically assaulted, accompanied by a statement implying that he did not want that to happen to her,” the affidavit said.
Sheptock sought to blackmail her into sending him more pictures, and it’s uncertain to what degree he was successful. Detectives say they have seen text messages showing he sent the victim nude pictures of other women and young minors, some which he is alleged to have created.
If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison.
