Planned Parenthood Closes Last Clinic in Louisiana Amid ‘Relentless Political Assaults’

Planned Parenthood has closed its last two clinics in the state of Louisiana, citing financial pressure amid “relentless political assaults.” With this new closure, they join three other states with no more Planned Parenthood abortuaries, including Louisiana, Mississippi, North Dakota, and Wyoming.
Melaney Linton, the president and CEO of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, said of the closure:
Coordinated and sustained political attacks and an increasingly hostile judiciary have blocked our ability to continue serving Louisianans…This is not a decision we wanted to make; it is one we were forced into by political warfare. Anti-reproductive health lawmakers obsessed with power and control have spent decades fighting the concept that people deserve to control their own bodies. These extremists have done everything they can to ‘defund’ Planned Parenthood, dismantle public health infrastructure, and block patients from the care they rely on. This cruelty and failed leadership are the reasons we are here today.
PPGC shared on their Facebook page.

While the Planned Parenthood have closed, there are other clinics open, and abortions are still being committed by IVF and the abortion pill.
Praise the Lord!
