Pastor Philip Thornton is the pastor of Legacy Faith Church in Harrisburg, PA, a Pentecostal church with the usual theological idiosyncrasies, such as believing “The full consummation of the Baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is evidenced by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, and by the subsequent manifestation of spiritual power in public testimony and service.”
During his service today, he preached a sermon titled ‘Clearing the Room,’comparing the actions of the military members kicking in the doors, clearing the room, and violently assaulting their enemies, to how Christians need to behave in the faith, giving ‘unbelief’ no warning or quarter as it’s similarly ‘assaulted’ in the spirit, while also being smart and strategic in how Christians should act to overcome it.
Pastor preaches his whole sermon with an AR-15 strapped to his chest. "You have to overwhelm your enemy with a violent action of faith."

More gimmicks because the pastor doesn’t think the Gospel is powerful enough to do its work.
His congregation might as well be in a hostage situation. I feel like I am watching an ISIS beheading video, well something bordering close to it.
This is all the way fscked up.
Broke any reasonable interpretation of Christ’s teachings. Broke the very first rule of firearm safety. (Never point a gun at anything you’re not intending to destroy or kill.)
This is a very dangerous man.
