Prominent American Roman Catholic priest James Martin has criticized the Florida Department of Transportation’s decision to paint over a rainbow-colored sidewalk, calling it an act driven by “hatred, homophobia, and a desire to erase LGBTQ people and their history.”
Known for his outreach ministry to LGBTQ Catholics and advocacy for their full inclusion in the Church, Martin serves as editor-at-large for America Magazine and as a consultor to the Vatican’s Dicastery for Communication, recently reappointed by Pope Francis for another five-year term. Pope Francis has previously praised Martin’s ministry, noting that it seeks to “imitate the style of God” through pastoral zeal and closeness to people, reflecting Jesus’ compassion.
In a since -deleted post on X, Martin condemned the decision to paint over the Pulse Memorial Crosswalk, installed in 2017 to honor victims of the Pulse gay nightclub mass shooting, and urged LGBTQ vandals and sympathizers to continue repainting it in queer colors.

He knows full well why people cannot support sin, and should not be forced, coerced, or extorted into supporting sin. And he is knowingly and blatantly bearing false witness, ultimately in defiance and rebellion against the Lord, accusing Him of being hateful. Though if they remain unrepentant, the Lord will indeed erase them for all of eternity, and they will die along with their flesh. He does indeed seek to erase their sin.

Catholics should have never been allowed in the country. Deport the Irish and Italians along with the wetbacks. Catholics normalized buttsex and gay as those are their only allowed forms of contraceptive per the popes.
