SBC Megachurch Plays ZZ Top For ‘Father’s Day Service’
Church by the Glades in Coral Springs, FL, led by David Hughes, is the embodiment of instituting worldly entertainment in the hope of catching the attention of wayward goatlings and luring them into staying.
Known for their extravagant attempts to keep their members entertained, in the past few years they’ve played a cover of Run D.M.C’s sleazy and sexual song Walk this Way in church, performed Kendrick Lamar’s N95, only cleaned up and sanitized for church audiences, removing the curse words and racial epitaphs for a sermon illustration, put on a Willy Wonka Christmas worship service’ put on crazy ‘Baby Shark’ mashup during service, replete with smoke and canons! and put on an Addams family themed service.
During their Father’s Day service on Sunday, along with having dads from the crowd participate in a “man weekend challenge’ which saw them inflate a balloon, do a “Lego fire walk,” install a tire, and down a big gulp to win prizes, the band played ZZ Top’s Sharp Dressed Man to pump up the congregants.

Devoid of the preaching of sin, repentance, and the penal substitutionary atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ.
These churches are “springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them. For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of the flesh, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error. ” – 2 Peter 2:17-18.
In fact, the whole chapter of 2 Peter 2 is describing these churches.
Woe to them ! If you are in one of these, RUN !
