ELCA Releases Hilariously Woke DEI Recommendations For their Denomination
In 2022, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to engage the services of an external auditor to “conduct a comprehensive audit of the ELCA’s governing documents for diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA)” to see where they’re missing the mark and how they can implement DEI practices and policies into the culture and character of their denomination.
The law firm just released its findings to be considered for implementation, and they’re about what you’d expect for a church collective that hates Jesus more than anything else in the world.
Some of the “Recommended Minimum DEIA Standards for Churchwide Organization” include:
-Upgrade all personnel policies to reflect DEIA values.
-Ensure at least 10% of the members of assemblies, councils, committees, boards, or other organizational units shall be Persons of Color and/or Non-Primary English Speaking Persons; and at least an additional 10% of such members shall be persons from Historically Underrepresented Groups (Gender Fluid persons, LGBTQIA+ persons, persons who possess a disability, etc)
-Oversee the implementation of Recommended Minimum DEIA Standards at consenting congregations within the synod-Create and annually update a database of approved DEIA training educational materials and seminar providers.
-Structure and implement stronger DEIA personnel policies within synod offices.
-Require annual DEIA training for all pastors, church staff and lay leaders, using an Approved Provider and covering at least the following topics, among others:
i. What is DEIA from a Biblical standpoint and why is it important?
ii. How does DEIA advance the values of the Kingdom of God?
iii. What are microaggressions against members of historically marginalized groups?
iv. How do microaggressions trigger feelings of alienation and exclusion among members of historically marginalized groups?
v. What is a Christian’s duty to alleviate microaggressions?
vi. How can this church be more open, inviting and loving to members of historically marginalized groups that fear rejection or hostility if they visit our church?
vii. What is Christian White Nationalism and what causes people to adhere to it?
viii. What is the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement?
ix. When is an issue “political”, and inappropriate for church discussion? Are there some issues that should not be discussed in the context of church, and if so why?
Furthermore, they have recommended the institution of new qualifications for ministers within their congregations, insisting on the need to have both a “acceptance and adherence to the Confession of Faith of this church” and a “genuine commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility.”
They’ve also recommended new purposes and missions of the chruch in their governing documents.
The Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) is a simmering cauldron of blasphemy and mephistophelean angst, to the point that sitting through an actual church service at one of their pagan temples is a foretaste of the hell that awaits them if they don’t repent. Some of the denomination’s greatest hits include:
