Gold-Plated Pension; Brian and Bobbie Houston Receiving $350K/year in Retirement Package?

According to the documents revealed in the leaked Hillsong Trove, during a 2010 board meeting at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney, Hillsong agreed to give Brian, 69, and Bobbie, 66, a massive pension upon their retirement, with the gold-plated package worth $350,000.00/year. Because it was indexed to match inflation, it would have increased yearly and would be worth nearly $500,000/y today.

It was agreed to offer BCH and RLH a combined retirement salary of $200,000 per year, which will be split between Brian and Bobbie.

In addition, a vehicle allowance each of $50,000 p.a. and a travel allowance of $100,000 to travel to churches internationally that include airfares and accommodation.

The minutes also note that if the Houston’s chose to live outside Australia upon their exit, their healthcare would also be covered.

It’s unknown whether or not Brian’s package is still in effect because of his scandalous departure from Hillsong. However, it’s worth noting that Houston was not fired from Hillsong but rather resigned and likely retained his pension.

Since his departure from Hillsong, it’s been revealed that the former global senior pastors have spent the last decades living a life of excess, including thousands of dollars on meals, luxury goods, and hotels, as seen below, all expensed to the church.
