Activist Publicly Shaves Head During Church Service as an Act of ‘Repentance’ Over Climate Change+Fossil Fuels

During the middle of a recent service at the Southwark Cathedral, an Anglican Church in London Bridge, England, a member from the environmental activist group ‘Christians Climate Action’ shaved her hair in front of the whole congregation, at the invitation of the church, as an “act of repentance for the role both individuals & the church are playing in fuelling the climate emergency.”

Christian Climate Action is a ragtag group of non-violent activists who visit churches across the UK and plead with them to divest from fossil fuels.

They describe themselves “Christians supporting each other to take meaningful action in the face of imminent and catastrophic anthropogenic climate breakdown. We are inspired by Jesus Christ and guided by the Holy Spirit. Following the example of social justice movements of the past, we carry out acts of public witness, non-violent direct action and civil disobedience to urge those in power to make the changes needed.”

No further comment is needed.

Because the Church of England is so compromised- they recently voted to bless same-sex marriages- they usually go along with it because they frequently share the ideology.

To that end, they urged the Church of Englad to “to rid itself of all investments that finance the fossil fuel industry and its sadly destructive activities and instead make investments that will safeguard the environment” and staged a public head-shaving as “sign of “penitence” that they too have been “complicit in causing the crisis.”

  1. There are churches in England like St. Helen’s who are standing firm on God’s Word given what the Archbishop of Canterbury and his minons have done to the Anglican Church.

  2. Oh, that these individuals would pour themselves into spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the same fervor they use to promote the unbiblical things of the world…
