Enrollment at SBC Seminaries Crashes Over Last Two Years, Down 40%

Attendance at SBC seminaries has plummeted over the last two years, with only Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary emerging unscathed, gaining where the rest have seen steep declines. According to the 2023 SBC Ministry report,  SEBTS, led by Danny Akin, has seen the most significant fall compared to the last two years, down 40%.

SWBTS, who just outed terrible President Adam Greenway, was down 30%. Incidentally, it was announced two days ago that SWBTS was selling off 15 acres of property holding 140 dorms for $11M to try to right the ship after years of mismanagement.  There are no numbers for Gateway.

SBTS down 24%

MBTS up 4%

NOBTS down 24%

SWBTS down 30%

SEBTS down 40%
