Baptist ‘Pastor’ Fired after Coming Out to Congregation as Transgender During Sermon Sues Church for $200,000

A “Baptist pastor” who gave the congregation the shock of their lives when he announced during a sermon last year that he was coming out as a “transgendered woman” (see video below) and was eventually been fired by the church in what came down to a nail-biter vote, filed a $200,000 lawsuit against the Chruch for wrongful dismissal, alleging that his termination was the result of discrimination.

The “right Reverend” Justin Joplin of Lourne Park Baptist Church in Mississauga, Ontario, had appeared in front of his congregation during a zoom sermon dressed as a woman, and explained that he was in fact a “she” and had taken on a new name and all, saying:

“With divine joy, as one finally getting her hands on the most precious pearl, I want you to hear me when I say I’m not just supposed to be a pastor, I’m supposed to be a woman. Hi, friends. Hi, family. My name is Junia. You can call me June. I’m a transgender woman and I’m my pronouns are she and her. That’s the treasure, folks. That’s the truth I can’t help but speak.”

The congregation terminated his employment and last we heard he was fielding calls to guest preach at progressive churches where the salvation rate of congregations is less than 1% and whose congregants are little more than stacks of unholy kindling.

Following his public coming out, Joplin further objected to being subjected to a series of invasive and humiliating “deeply personal questions’ by congregation members during a formal theological inquiry, most of which revolved around his transition and impact it would have on the church and members.

For these reasons, he’s taking them to court. According to the CBC:

The lawsuit, which seeks nearly $200,000 in damages, alleges the church breached the Human Rights Code, which prohibits discrimination in employment on the basis of gender identity, gender expression, sex and other grounds.”

It argues that while the code allows religious organizations to give preference to those of a similar creed, that exemption only applies when creed is an occupational qualification, and it does not allow discrimination on the basis of gender identity or expression

Because it’s Canada, it may actually be successful and would be another blow for religious freedoms for the embattled church to the North.

  1. Makes you wonder if his bank account isn’t fatter by about 30 pieces of silver. The mere fact that they had a drawn-out inquiry is evidence enough they’re falling away. They should’ve immediately held a meeting and fired him on the spot, and then anybody voting to keep him should’ve been kicked out as well.

Churches are fast becoming nothing but apostate, progressive, government-controlled, social engineering, propaganda and indoctrination centers. They might as well just be honest, burn their Bibles, and start calling themselves something other than a church.

  2. He should be made to give back every single dime he made during his time as pastor. He was clearly not performing his duties correctly because he was obviously not studying the Word or even bothering to live in a Godly manner, and he was clearly never called to preach to God’s people in the first place; there is no way on this earth that his name is in the Lamb’s Book of Life. He needs to repent of this transvestite nonsense immediately, stop pretending to be a woman, and get into a church pew in a Bible-believing church.

  3. We don’t know how many just like him have been planted by SBC- NAMB throughout the US. They say they’re not obligated to tell us. None of our business.
We know for a fact that they are planting churches with female pastors, I don’t doubt that gay, and transgender pastors are probably par for the course with the SBC elites also. Who knows how many there are at church plants all over the US.

  4. That sad thing is that this sexually confused/mentally ill/deviant (choose one or more) individual will likely profit from his sin. Pathetic and sad.

  5. I see a settlement out of court here in a tacit victory for the wicked, although short-term on surely, unless the Lord grants him repentance. Then again, this may be a Romans 1 situation.

    1. So we finally get to see what commenter ‘Johnny’ actually looks like:)
I’m guessing if you wore your gigantic turquoise cross under your shirt it would leave burns on your scrawny male chest, right?
(insert tiny flags here denoting I am neither mentally ill nor a sexual deviant)
