‘I Kissed Dating Goodbye’ Apostate Author Teaches how to Deconstruct Your Faith for $275 a Pop

‘I Kissed Dating Goodbye’ author and former pastor of Covenant Life Church Joshua Harris has decided he wants to start getting paid to help questioning and confused souls deconstruct their faith by creating a program for that very thing at only $275 a pop. (Unless you were burned by purity culture, then you get in for free) The 5-week course begins September 21 and is geared towards those who are “asking the big questions” and rethinking some of their beliefs.

Considered one of the most famous apostates in the last 50 years to publicly repudiate his faith, Harris, now an open LGBTQ advocate, was last seen taking to Instagram where he praised Cardi B’s song WAP, explaining that it’s “basically the biblical book of Song of Solomon set to music” and pledging to block anyone who disparages her or her music.

He likewise explained that he as an atheist feels “closer to Jesus when I’m pissing religious people off,” and by and large has been praising people who deconstruct their faith, explaining that he does it because he still “cares about Christianity and what happens to it.”

This ‘make-me-into-an-atheist assembly line’ is called Reframe your Story, and some of the lessons and sessions will include:

  • How family of origin and religious community give us a sense of identity and security
  • How black and white thinking gives comfort and also robs us of freedom
  • The role of disillusionment in unsettling rigid patterns of thinking
  • Avoiding repeating your patterns with new dogma
  • Giving yourself permission to let your deconstruction look however you want
  • The beautiful, unsettling choice to live with uncertainty
  • Replacing judgment with curiosity
  • Moving toward being the truest version of yourself

For those who don’t want to go through the whole lesson, he has a starter-pack you can sign up for free, where he recommends resources by Bart Erhman, Rob Bell, Jo Luehman, Bishop John Shelby Spong, Vicky Beeching, Nadia Bolz Weber, and Rachel Held Evans- all people currently burning in hell or headed there unless Christ miraculously saves them.

Because we love you here at Protestia, we will enroll in the course and report on it so you don’t have to.

  1. The only things missing are: “All this for 4 easy payments of…” and “But wait, there is more. If you act now we will throw in …”

  2. Good luck with the class Staff Writer. I wonder if you’ll even be able to keep up with the number of times you want to scream and kick somebody.
You’ll have to let us know, but it sounds like maybe just another devolution into post modernism- the philosophy that holds that there’s really no external objective reality. Each individual’s worldview is equally valid since there’s no objective standard that’s external to the mind of each individual. Standpoint epistemology utilizes this idea. It’s a demonic deception because it denies absolute truth. Keep us posted.

    1. They are absolutely sure there is no absolute truth 🙂

It’s no wonder they are constantly confused. Such post-modernist thought does nothing but manufacture a whirlwind of circular reasoning. Just look at the list of lessons and sessions in this seminar. They can be summed up in one sentence – “how to try to come to terms with your perpetual confusion”

  3. Yet these progressives are trying to impose their own contrived form of “purity culture” based on their own made-up standards. And if you don’t comply, you are fired from your job, sued into poverty, targeted, or even arrested for saying something they disagree with or for refusing to go against God and His Word.

The only difference between them and Bible-believing Christians is the definition of what is pure and what isn’t. We follow God’s definition. They make up their own – and then try to force everyone else to comply, or else.

But they’ve been given over to a reprobate mind, and cannot see or understand this simple fact.

  4. Boil it down and you realize there is “nothing new under the sun”…same ol’ song just a different band. The same lies spoken from the Garden to the wilderness. “IT IS WRITTEN…”

  5. I signed up and went through the course in 5 minutes… because there is no course. It was a 5 week live thing that you can’t get to now.

  6. An apostate is not simply a backslider — he’s an enemy of Christ and cannot be saved.
Hebrews 6:4-6 “For in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame.”
