Never-Trump Evangelicals Reaping the Whirlwind as the Equality Act Makes Headway

(Ref. Char.) Reformation Charlotte has consistently argued that the Democrat party of Satan’s one and only purpose is to destroy morality rooted in a biblical worldview. The Democrat party’s platform reads like the antithesis to the Ten Commandments and there is nothing the party stands for that a Christian in good conscience could support. Nothing.

Yet, the never-Trump Christian “thought leaders” found in progressive outlets like The Gospel Coalition (TGC) have been relentless in their anti-Republican rhetoric arguing that the social justice promised by the Democrat party is well enough reason to vote Democrat and that faithful Christians can disagree cordially.

No, they can’t. And today, they are seeing why.

Joe Carter, a prominent contributor to The Gospel Coalition, a former staff member of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC), and an associate pastor at David Platt’s McLean Bible Church in the Washington D.C. area has been nothing but clear in his anti-Trump rhetoric over the years.

Carter, like his former boss at the ERLC, Russell Moore, has spent countless hours trying to convince Christians that Donald Trump’s personal immorality gives Democrats — who want to murder children, force the celebration of homosexuality, and strip the Church of her religious freedoms — the moral high ground.

Russell Moore, before Trump was elected in 2016, spent an entire year writing, tweeting, and speaking to Christians about how immoral it would be to support Trump.

Now, they’re reaping what they have sown.

Joe Carter recently penned an article at The Gospel Coalition…

  1. Have they started twittering their concerns? Please let us know when and if they out themselves as lacking discernment or even political savvy. Could they have possibly been so blind? If they were so lacking in judgement, they should resign their positions of leadership! To include that of writing articles or books. Obama’s last act, was to leave us with the Trans dilema, schools, bathroom, etc. Since then, the Dems have been actively promoting this abomination on our children. They had to have known what was coming, they are probably congratulating themselves in private.

    1. I don’t think they lack discernment. It’s the plan. They play for the other team. They’re not at all worried about what biden is doing or they wouldn’t have voted for him and told others to vote for him too. All this pearl clutching “worry” is fake, designed to keep conservatives who are asleep from knowing what the plan is, to keep them tithing and thinking their pastor shares their values. (The US Catholic bishops are doing the same thing; they’ve released a statement about how concerning biden’s executive orders are. If they cared they wouldn’t have voted for dems and told their flocks to also.) It’s fake “concern.” They support the dem agenda to gut the traditional church and impose racism, lgbt and feminist power structures, and Marxism as the new church of moral relativism. If they didn’t they wouldn’t vote for it and told anyone who would listen that the most pro life, pro Christian, pro democracy, pro traditional American values candidate was the absolutely most immoral, unforgivable God forsaken monster ever to run for office. And so is everyone who voted for him. They worked to get their guy elected. Russel Moore and The Gospel Coalition are not at all worried about the equality act; they’re counting on it.
