Poll: Only 40% of Congregants Would Invite Others to Attend their ‘On-line Service’

A survey from Barna has revealed that congregants don’t feel comfortable inviting friends, families, or potential convertees to attend their online virtual service, with 60% of respondents balking at the idea.

According to Barna, despite a large majority of Christians hoping that their church will continue to stream their service in a post-pandemic world, only 40% of them would actually invite people to attend their digital service, with 64% saying they would feel comfortable inviting them to an in-person service. This of course begs the question about what is going on that so many believers aren’t inviting the fields white are white for harvest to join them and hear the gospel message on Sunday morning.

ignore the “churched adults. there’s no reason to believe they are believers

Of course, people who are watching online services are not actually attending church, no matter how they believe. By all indications, churches who have chosen to forgo in-person services have proven to be a frightful failure.
