Daily Wire CEO Rages After Writer Publishes ‘The Chosen’ Article: ‘This is a Disgusting Piece, and I’m Sorry we Ran it’
Days after the hit TV series The Chosen came under fire after a gay-pride flag was spotted on set during a behind-the-scenes feature, Daily Wire co-founder and CEO Jeremy Boering ripped into one of his reporters for covering the story, calling it a ‘gross, and ‘disgusting piece’ and lamenting its publication.
In the article, Ben Zeisloft offers a rundown of the controversy and why some people are upset. Unlike Protestia, he didn’t reveal that the flag belongs to gay steadicam operator Daniel Fritz, who has Pride flags and patches on his camera equipment, and whose Pride propaganda apparel and accouterments can frequently be seen on set.
Zeisloft also recounted recent controversies The Chosen had been swept up in, including longstanding accusations that the series is influenced by Mormon theology- on account of being distributed by partner Angel Studios, whose founders are Latter Day Saints- and Director and Producer Dallas Jenkin’s insistence that Mormons are Christians.
Boering seems disconnected from his own hypocrisy, however. He argues that “punching your allies for minor flaws is what you do when you’re too weak to fight your actual enemies” and “sucker punching your allies feels good, but it doesn’t help the cause.”
Yet in the same breath, he does that very thing he condemns, publicly ripping into his own reporter (an ally) and calling the article’ disgusting,’ ‘gross,’ a ‘stupid reaction,’ ‘sucker punching,’ ‘low,’ ‘dumb,’ an ‘act of weakness,’ and an example of playing a game of ‘purity death spiral.’
Boering says that requesting and enforcing that employees not publicly display Pride content on set is an ‘impossible standard’ to hold, but that’s silly. If that same person wore a swastika on their shirt, it’d be gone so fast, and suddenly it’d be effortless to hold.
Employers frequently institute a basic dress code prohibiting offensive content or openly political statements. Instead of gay rainbows patches and t-shirts, if crew members were coming up on the job site with shirts that said ‘I support gender-affirming care for all ages’ or contained a racial slur, or said ‘F*** Trump,’ or featured a nude pin-up girl, would that be accepted? The rallying cry of the LGBTQ+ movement is indeed monstrous, and it’s not lost on us how apathetic and acclimated we’ve become to see their symbols and ideology everywhere we go.
It’s nothing for the producers to have a standard of work attire, and it’s at least newsworthy that on a show largely crowdfunded by Christians and lauded as a ministry tool by Dallas Jenkins, this standard doesn’t seemingly exist.
And then take this to its logical end. Right now, there’s only one (as far as we know) person wearing the propaganda on set, but what if it were ten people? Or 20? or 50? What if Pride and Trans flags adorned the entire set and were awash in them, as far as the eye could see? Would Boering’s and others’ perspectives remain unchanged?
To be consistent in their arguments they’d have to be, and yet we have a hard time believing they would.
My last month paycheck was for 11000 dollars… All i did was simple online work from comfort at home for 3-4 hours/day that I got from this agency I discovered over the internet and they paid me for it 95 bucks every hour…..> https://www.pay.salary49.com

Sorry, Jeremy, but this project’s purpose is advancing the Gospel and portraying The Son Of God. It has every right to expect its employees to not FLAUNT symbols of unbiblical evil on the set.
Outrage justified.
you should update this article. multiple actors have come out supporting sodomy and calling Christians “homophobes”. not even 24 hours later Jeremy is already proven wrong. sin begets sin.
My most recent pay test was for a 12-hour-per-week internet job for 9,500 dollars. For months, my sister’s friend has been making an average of 15,000, and she puts in about 20 hours every week. As soon as I gave it a try, I was shocked at how simple it was.

As of recent years, the republican party now endorses and celebrates porneia and believes it should remain a protected class. Boering is just towing the party line.
He knows full well the fact that sexual immorality is now a protected class is exactly the problem. Yet sidesteps it for political reasons.
I appreciate that this article points out the “hypocrisy” of Jeremy throwing a member of his own staff under the bus (and by extension every conservative that criticizes The Chosen) while simultaneously pontificating about not “sucker punching” your allies.
I have a hard time believing that the Daily Wire is a truly conservative organization and the more I find out about them, the more it becomes apparent they are 100% about themselves and the money; for them being a “conservative” is just a means to an end.
They exist as an gatekeeping organization to keep conservatives riled up in fits of impotent rage without providing any solutions while name-call anyone who dares to take a more conservative position then they themselves do.
Matt Walsh (albeit a devout Catholic) and Ben Shapiro (Jewish) are solid political conservatives at the Daily Wire. They promote fiscal responsibility and a traditional worldview that aligns with a Biblical perspective, in spite of their denominational errors. Along with Steve Deace, it’s one of the few political sites not worshiping at the altar of the RINO Trump…45 is Galatians 5. (I say “RINO” based on Trump’s spending, frequent pro-homo stances, 2A opposition, supporting Bud Light and McCarthy, blasphemy, belief that 6 weeks abortion bans are “too harsh”, and ridiculous and unfounded slander of opponents and friends alike…his works of the flesh) It’s very disappointing to find out that their boss is a milquetoast….oops…milk toast, apparently.
This show is just sinful trash, and I don’t need to watch even 1 second of it. To portray the Lord Jesus by an actor is a gross violation of the 2nd commandment. Everyone focusing in on the “homo” stuff (bad as it is) shows a general disregard of God’s commandments. Typical evangelical blindness to sins within the church…it’s those naughty heathen that are the problem, maybe the church has a huge problem, like antinomianism.
