SBC Megachurch Pastor: ‘There is NO Credible Religious Argument Against the Vaccines’

Rev. Robert Jeffress, the pastor at the SBC Megachurch First Baptist Dallas, told the Associated Press in an email that he and his staff “are neither offering nor encouraging members to seek religious exemptions from the vaccine mandates” as demand from church-going folk surges for a religious exemption increases. Voicing his opinion that there is no biblical reason to not get one, he further explained:
There is no credible religious argument against the vaccines…Christians who are troubled by the use of a fetal cell line for the testing of the vaccines would also have to abstain from the use of Tylenol, Pepto Bismol, Ibuprofen, and other products that used the same cell line if they are sincere in their objection.
Robert has consistently urged his congregation to get vaccinated so they can safely worship, comparing the vaccination to a prolife position on Fox News a few months ago, where he said:
We talk about life inside the womb being a gift from God. Well, life outside the womb is a gift from God, too.

I have much respect for Pastor Jeffress, but he is wrong to be pushing people to take this “vaccine” – should’ve researched the matter and done his homework.

What is worse? This preacher telling us what God thinks or this website attempting me to accept their “marketing” for revenue. I successfully blocked the current attempt to take over my browser – for now. When Jeffress says:

What he’s basically saying is that he knows fetal cells are in all these other products but he’s not counseling his congregation to avoid these either. Instead of protecting the sanctity of life, educating his flock and avoiding the consumption of human cells he’s lecturing us that we’re they hypocrites for consuming some things but not others. Zero Christian leadership.
He’s scolding and mocking Christians who sincerely try to avoid anything contaminated by aborted human cells. What kind of pastor does that???
I was not aware fetal cells were in these over-the-counter meds. I don’t usually take them anyway but I’ll research it further and definitely avoid them if that’s true.
I wasn’t aware of the over-the-counter meds either, and I suspect it isn’t true. Could be wrong, but I suspect he’s just parroting somebody else’s claim. Quickly researching, Pepto Bismol was first sold in 1900 or 1901. Tylenol first sold in 1955. Ibuprofen was discovered in 1961. And others have also made the same claim of Aspirin, which was discovered in 1897.
You’re correct, all of these meds predate the cell lines used by the COVID vaccines. HEK and PER cell lines were derived from abortions in 1972 and 1985, respectively. I looked at some of the sources used as proof for these claims. These sources don’t prove the claims! The only thing these sources show is that these drugs were used along with a certain cell line in an independent experiment, not that the drugs, themselves, were developed using the cell lines! How deceptive!
No doubt their “misinformation” won’t be censored, because it fits the narrative and agenda.
