Secret Audio Reveals How John Lindell of James River Church Unlawfully Stole His Member’s Voting Rights
Last month, Pastor John Lindell of James River Church announced his church’s departure from the Assemblies of God denomination, explicitly claiming that it was a unanimous decision by the James River Board of Trustees and that the vote “reflect[ed] the unity of our church’s leadership.” (It wasn’t. A third of the board of trustees resigned in protest)
The move shocked the AOG and thousands of congregants from the Missouri megachurch who didn’t want to sever from the denomination. These members were aghast to discover that Lindell unlawfully stripped them of their voting rights in a 2019 annual business meeting in contravention of their own bylaws.
In an extended video that gives the complete story of Lindell’s shennanigans, Grant Olson releases and discusses a covertly recorded audio recording of that meeting, revealing how Lindell set the stage to pull off his church heist and unlawfully remove provisions from their Articles of Agreement, even as he explicitly tells concerned members “There is nothing in our intent to in any way affect or affiliation with the denomination.”
