Are Greg Locke’s ‘Sweating Patterns’ a Sign From God?

Pastor Greg Locke of Global Vision Bible Church in Mount Juliet, TN, took to social media to suggest that the Lord was sending him a reminder through his sweating habits.

Readers of Protestia will recognize Locke as the foul-mouthed, spouse -abandoning “pastor” who notoriously divorced his wife of two decades and quickly married his secretary, claimed that “Mitch McConnell is being controlled by Illuminati hand signals,” threatened a Dunkin’ Donuts worker with kicking his teeth down his throat, and put up signs telling potential visitors” If you Come to Church in a Mask, I’ll Kick you Out.”

Like folks who see Jesus’ face in burn toast or the face Mary in a baked tortillas, Locke commented in a recent Facebook post that while he was preaching a sermon on the ‘protective arms of angels that surround God’s people’ he noticed that he had sweat through his jacket in the pattern of angels wings, remarking that this was a “simple reminder from the Lord that his word will not return void.”

Not even close. This is called “mysticism” and the Lord does not work this way, particularly to disqualified pastors who ought not to be preaching. All it means is that he sweats a lot, and that we hope he has some good anti-perspirant. If we’re talking about Satan doing false miracles? Perhaps, we can see that. But the Lord of glory using Locke’s excessive bodily secretions to make a point? Hardly.

Pope Pitter-Patters Around Indigenous Pagans

In a recent trip to Quebec City, Canada, Pope Francis addressed the so-called scourge of “Christian Nationalism,” criticizing those who have dared to influence non-Christian public institutions with Christian beliefs.

He (God) does not want to make decisions for us or oppress us with a sacral power, exercised in a world governed by religious laws. No! He created us to be free, and he asks us to be mature and responsible persons in life and in society.

Previously Francis, who when asked to make a judgment on whether homosexuality is permissible within the church, made the infamous statement, “Who am I to judge?” has persistently pushed leftist antinomian positions within the Catholic church.

Francis visited Quebec City to apologize on behalf of the Catholic church for sexual abuse against indigenous peoples, along with practices of the church and Canadian government authorities that contributed to the “eradication of indigenous cultures”. While the Pope certainly should apologize for abuse, the idea that scriptural teachings that call all men to repentance and faith in Christ should be subordinated to pagan indigenous religious practices in the name of politically correct cultural relativism is patently absurd. Christ is Lord over all, including the indigenous peoples.

Francis urged leaders in the Catholic Church to refrain from imposing the church’s beliefs on a secular society but rather to use “pastoral creativity” and utilize “mercy that silently speaks of Christ.” The words of Francis reflect the false teaching of St. Francis of Assisi, who famously said, “Preach the Gospel at all times, and when necessary, use words.” The idea that Gospel proclamation can be made in the absence of a verbal scripturally-based Gospel-centric framework is patently false. Silent Evangelism doesn’t appear in the New Testament because God has prescribed Evangelism through the proclamation of scripture.

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?” So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. Romans 10:14-17

Ironically, while advocating for a pietistic posture towards society, Francis lamented the increasing secularization of many Catholics, who live as if God is of no consequence.

God seems to have disappeared from the horizon, and his word no longer seems a compass guiding our lives, our basic decisions, our human and social relationships.

It would seem that pietist views within the Catholic church that place artificial boundaries between religious belief and the creation of law would ultimately lead some Catholics to also divorce the doctrine that they hear at Mass from the way that they live in everyday life.

Pacifist TGC Writer Says The World Should Have Let Hitler and Nazis Conquer Unopposed

Andrew Wilson is a frequent contributor to the Gospel Coalition. He’s also the teaching pastor at King’s Church, London and the author of God of All Things: Rediscovering the Sacred in an Everyday World. During his “Good Faith Debate’ with Bob Thune on ‘How should Christians think about gun control and the right to bear arms?” Wilson, who is an extreme pacifist, claimed that the the world should not have opposed Hitler militarily, but rather should have let him conquer the world. He explains:

Question: In World War II, from what I understand reading of history, one of the Axis powers were very concerned about how in the world you would invade the United States, because of how many private citizens owned guns and ammunition. How is that part of the debate land with you?

Wilson: Yeah, I think World War II is that the closest thing we have to a a genuine war of good against evil. I think most wars in history you’d probably say ‘Ahhh ,You know, there’s bad men on both sides, there’s good men on both sides.’

I think when you have Hitler and Nazism wanted to steamroll everybody, you’d go ‘Okay, that’s it. I think we’re as close as we can be to saying that’s a very, very bad man, and a lot of very, very bad things are gonna happen if he’s in charge.’

So as that sense it follows us, it’s like the reductio ad absurdum of the pacifist position. And I think you as a pacifist you, you basically swallow it and you say, ‘Yeah, that might mean Britain been invaded…I might now be speaking German, maybe.’

I think the world would be- I’d have to trust the providence of God, I have to, I have to ultimately say ‘this is exactly what Romans 12 is doing. So you don’t do these things. because vengeance is mine, is mine to repay.”

…I think if you read the Sermon on the Mount and say ‘what does this say I should do with Hitler?’  You’d go ‘yeah I think that means, you might have to say I don’t resist’. And and at that point you might say ‘oh that’s cowardice.’…I actually think that takes a lot of courage to hold that position.

…So I don’t it sounds very weird in our world to say, ‘let Hitler invade’, you know, ‘bring it on’, and trust it to God.

$95,000 Watch? $4850 Jacket? $1576 Shoes? Roundup of Swagged Out Pastors Wearing the Wealth

It’s been a while since we did a round of the inimitable Instagram pages Preachers N Sneakers and Prophets N Watches, showing the world how celebrity pastors tend to enjoy the finer things in life. One thing that should be obvious to anyone following this series is that the same people show up over and over, as can be seen in our achieves here:

$1,000 Shorts, $4,300 Nike’s. Round-Up of Preachers N Sneakers
$162,995 Watch? $195 Socks? $690 Sandals? Round-Up of Preachers N Sneakers, Prophets N Watches
$1090 Sweater? $1990 Handbag? $2720 Coat? Round-Up of Preachers N Sneakers
$284,500 Watch? $2,900 Jacket? $2,500 Shoes? Round-Up of Celebrity Pastors Pricey Fashion
Pastor with a $329,000 Watch? $12,100 Jacket? $700 Pen? Round up of Prophets N Watches

The newest round include:

Robert Madu is the lead pastor of Social Dallas and the founder of Robert Madu Ministries wearing a pair of $1420 sneakers. He is the only first-timer on this list.

Long-time returnee TD Jakes, the Modalist rapscallion of the Potters House, wearing a $1750 Gucci watch, which is mid-range for him. He’s worn some in the $350-600 range, as well as one for $13,000 and another for $39,000, so this is on the lower side.

Mike Todd never fails to disappoint, being perhaps the most frequently showcased. Wearing a pair of $1576 Nike shoes.

Former Hillsong Global pastor Brian Houston rocking that $14,960 Rolex.

Mr. Maldonado is known for wearing the most expensive clothes by far. Usually the watches he wears cost north of $300,000 or $400,000, so to see him slumming it with a mere $95,000 one is quite frankly, beneath him. Throw on another $4850 jacket to really ‘Suede in the Spirit’, to quote one commenter.

Lasty, is Cash Luna. He’s a Guatemalan televangelist and faith healer with perhaps the biggest church in Latin America. Seen here wearing a $1529 Luis Vutton Hoodie.

Immodest? Megachurch Pastor Mike Todd AGAIN Preaches in Shirt Ft. Wife

Pastor Michael Todd leads Transformation Church. He is known for crowd surfing during his church’s worship service and spending a lot of money. In the last two years, he’s given away $3,500,000 in houses, cash, and cars, spent $65,000 to buy 168 pairs of shoes, gave $600,000 in “reparations,” and purchased $66,000,000 in real estate.

He’s also known for preaching some good old-fashioned modalism, giving the world perhaps the grossest illustration in church after he snorted and then hocked a loogie full of spit and snot into his hand and rubbed it in another man’s face and claiming his church had 75k salvations in the last 18 months
even though they barely grew.

A month ago, as part of his sermon illustration, he wore a shirt of his wife in a bathing suit with the caption ‘Hot Girl Summer,’ giving the congregation and the hundreds of thousands of people who stream his service an upfront look at her in a two-piece. He would later have ‘mean comments’ overlayed across his stream, reinforcing his point (the pop-ups are part of the church feed) that he should just ignore the comments.

Todd explained his justification for wearing the outfit, incredulous that these prudes would dare be offended by his shirt.

Today, there’ll be comments about the sermon. People will comment good things, people will comment bad things. They will be mad because I had a picture of my wife on my shirt in a bathing suit.

‘How’s a pastor gonna get up there tempting everybody?’

But if you go on Forever 21, right now, your daughter has on a shirt with somebody they don’t know, in a bathing suit right now, and you- I love her and she wears bathing suits. Gasp! First Ladies wear bathing suits. Oh my God.

I’m so done with church people.

At the time we thought it was a one-off, but apparently it wasn’t the first time. Rather, this demonstrates a pattern of behavior of wanting to exhibit his wife. Last year during his Let God Rewrite Your List – Modern Romance series, Todd preached a sermon in a shirt featuring his wife wearing a strapless, low-cut dress that might generously be described as immodest, giving the 150,000 people watching his sermons an eyeful.

It is strange behavior for a pastor to be doing- but then again Todd was disqualified from being a pastor a long time ago.

Christian Rugby Players Banned from Stadium after Boycotting Game over Team Pride Jerseys

(Premiere Christians News) Australian rugby league team Manly has banned its seven boycotting players from their home stadium for the match against Sydney Roosters on Thursday over safety concerns after holding a meeting with police.

The seven decided this week to stand down from the National Rugby League match on religious grounds, after being told to wear a jersey celebrating LGBTQ+ rights.

Manly officials spoke with police on Wednesday and decided the players’ presence at Sydney’s Brookvale Oval would pose a threat to their safety.

“For the safety and wellbeing of the players, the club has decided that it’s best that they don’t attend the game,” Manly interim Chief Executive Gary Wolman told The Australian newspaper.

New South Wales Police said police officers had conducted a “risk assessment” and were satisfied with “the strategies in place to mitigate any risk to the players and attendees’ safety and security.”

They added that police had received…to continue reading, click here.

Woke Pastor Says there are ‘Lesbian Angels’ who ‘Consensually’ Flirt with Queer Christian Women

The Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) is a raging dumpster fire of blasphemy and perversion. Given their love of everything Antichristic, it is no exaggeration to say that sitting through an actual church service at one of their pagan temples is a foretaste of the hell that awaits them if they don’t repent. I mean, here are just a few of their greatest hits.

Pastrix Says Jesus Called Syrophoenician Woman a ‘B*****’ + “Jesus Screwed Up, She Redeems Him”

Queer ELCA Pastrix Ordained With Drag Queen Nuns While Jennifer Knapp Serenades

This brings us to Lura Groen. The pastrix of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in Columbia, MD. She is quite possibly the grossest clergy we’ve ever written about.

In a May 7, 2021, Facebook post, she engages in some spectacularly poor interpretation of Psalm 23:6, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever” by claiming that because “It is common and orthodox to personify all the Biblical virtues as women. Think Woman Wisdom in Proverbs” that it somehow follows that “Goodness and Mercy can be the names of God’s righteous lesbian angels, mercilessly (and consensually) flirting with you your whole life….ruthless and sacred pursuit from lesbian angels.”

She’s isn’t a nobody, even though it wouldn’t matter if she were. Rather, she continues to rise in the ranks through the ELCA. Three years ago, she was elected to the Discipline Committee of the Delaware-Maryland Synod, where she enjoys a close friendship with the Bishop. She has also spoken on at least one panel with Elizabeth Eaton, the head of the ELCA. Those in power know who she is and how she behaves, and they are completely and utterly supportive.

Because there is no limiting factor within the ELCA, she is the next natural evolution.

Evangelical Activist Ron Sider Has Died

Evangelical social activist, professor and author Ron Sider has passed away at the age of 82, according to a message posted by his son.

Sider founded the group Christians for Social Action, and wrote several books: his most well-known being Rich Christians in an Age of Hunger: Moving From Affluence to Generosity.” He was known for decades of advocating for social issues and social issues, from poverty and anti-racism to climate justice and lobbying for legislation to make cars more fuel efficient. One of his last endeavors was being a founding signatory and member of ‘Pro-Life Evangelicals for Biden.

This is a group that worked to get Joe Biden and Kamala Harris elected, believing that the Democrats’ overall agenda was more “biblically balanced” than the Republicans. Within months of Biden winning, they sent the administration an open letter expressing how “disappointed” and betrayed they were feeling by them. They believed Biden would more or less preserve the current state of pro-life legislation and have “open dialogue” with them about abortion issues and keep pro-life restrictions in place, rather than do what Democrats do and seek to have it further entrenched. Played for fools, they quickly shuttered the organization mere months after it began.

Sider is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, their three children, and their families.

SBC Seminary Prez. Suggests Women Could Probably be Ordained as Pastors in the SBC

“Women pastors and women preachers are the most obvious rebellion against the word of God.” John MacArthur

Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary president Adam Greenway caused a stir on social media after posting Lifeway’s Study Guide on the definition of a pastor, suggesting that while the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 seems to relegate the position of Senior Pastor to men only, perhaps there is some wiggle room for women to take on certain pastoral roles.

This revelation comes a month after the SBC’s annual meeting, where the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) Credentials Committee revealed they were not going to remove Rick Warren’s Saddleback Church from their roles after he famously and unapologetically started to ordain women pastors.

The Credentials Committee suggested that the title and function of pastor can be separated, and while it’s true that only men can hold the “office of pastor,” perhaps women can have the “title of pastor” without having a church that is rife with pastrixes to be being disqualified or found not to be in cooperation with the Baptist Faith and Message. They noted that “(we found)…little information evidencing the Convention’s beliefs regarding the use of the title of ‘pastor’ for staff positions with different responsibility and authority than that of the lead pastor.”

Instead, the Credentials Committee said they were “unable to form an opinion regarding the relationship of Saddleback Church to the Southern Baptist Convention until clarity is provided regarding the use of the title “pastor” for staff positions with different responsibility and authority than that of the lead pastor.” They promised to study the issue and get back to the convention next in 2023.

In response to the initial controversy, SBTS President, one of the BFAM2000’s original authors, repudiated the notion that women would ever be biblically qualified to be ordained or that their doctrinal statements allow for it by posting a statement made by other originalist crafters.

And yet they say there is no liberal drift within the Southern Baptist Convention.
