LEOs Use Squad Cars to Block Church from Having Drive-in Service

A Church in Manitoba intending to have a drive-in service had their church service crashed by Law Enforcement officials who used their squad cars to disrupt the planned event and physically prevent them from gathering, threatening massive fines for anyone who dared to drive their vehicle onto the church parking lot.

The move to physically restrain congregants from attending a drive-in church service, where everyone stays in their cars with windows rolled up to listen to a sermon piped through the radio using an FM transmitter, is yet another escalation from a supposedly “Conservative” government who has gone to war with the Church of God in Steinbach, for defying the government mandate that prohibits the gathering of 5 or more people, either inside or outside, after the province recorded more than 13,000 cases of COVID-19 and 200 dead.

The church in rural Manitoba initially planned to have an indoor service but chose to have an outdoor drive-in one after being fined $5000 the week before for being open.

As a result of the planned action, The RCMP set up a roadblock outside the entrance to the church parking lot and informed the 100 member congregation that anyone entering would fined $1296. One man insisted that he would not be backing down, and was swiftly issued the pricy fine, but other vehicles stayed outside on lot on the main road to try to stay within distance of the FM receiver.

During the service one of their ministers, Tobias Thiessen railed against the police and the government, saying that the officers and government were not just persecuting them, but were persecuting God.

The Church of God is one of 4 churches in Canada, with another one being located in Aylmer, Ontario, whose pastor Henry Hildebrandt also had a similar encounter with RCMP back in May.

The Church of God argues, however, that the restrictions are an infringement of the Charter of Rights And Freedoms which guarantees the right to peacefully assemble and the right of association. They also say they are being discriminated against given that other people are allowed to congregate in parking lots to purchases alcohol or marijuana from stores which are open after being deemed “essential.”

Hildebrandt said in a statement about the Steinbach Church:

The question is, what is essential? If faith and the communal expression of faith is not essential during times of crisis, is this an attack on faith? We are not asking for special treatment, just equal treatment.

There must be an allowable expression of faith that is deemed essential while we are allowing the sale of products at establishments that exist solely for the sale of alcohol, coffee, donuts, cannabis, and fast food.

Dr. Brent Roussin, Manitoba’s chief provincial public health officer, defended liquor stores and cannabis stores being open, saying that failure to have them open and give people access to booze and weed could result in “unintended consequences” that “would do more harm than good.”

Editor’s note. We use the term “church” loosely in this article. Given they have several extremely aberrant theologies, they do not qualify as a biblical church and no one should be attending their services.

‘Let us Disobey’: Churches Defy lockdown with Secret Meetings

(The Guardian) It sounds like the build-up to an illegal rave. Invitations are passed by word of mouth to trusted people. Minimal information – time, directions – is quietly given with pleas for discretion. Once everyone is assembled in a barn on a remote farm – “away from prying eyes,” says the organizer – it begins.

This is no rave, but an English church service under lockdown, and the organizer is a Protestant pastor. The Christians who will gather illegally in the west of England on Sunday morning – as they have for the past two Sundays – will pray, read from the scriptures, sing hymns and listen to a sermon.

“We’ve been holding clandestine services since this lockdown began,” the pastor told the Observer, speaking on condition of anonymity. “It feels weird for us to act this way. People have said it feels more like an underground church in China.

“The fact that we have to sneak around to worship God, in fear of criminal prosecution, is alarming. But we do what we have to do.”

According to…

Washington’s Democrat Gov. Jay Inslee Bans Singing in Church

Democrat Governor Jay Inslee has continued his unholy quest to trample on the rights of citizens, the church, and the state by passing a new edict prohibiting singing in church, in an effort that he says will prevent the rise and spread of the novel coronavirus, saying on Sunday:

This spike puts us in a more dangerous a position as we were in March [sic]. And it means, unfortunately, the time has come to reinstate restrictions on activities statewide to preserve the public’s well-being, and to save lives. These were very difficult decisions that have very real consequences to people’s livelihoods. I recognize that and don’t take those impacts lightly, but we must act now and act quickly to slow the spread of this disease.

The ban, which will last a month, had the usual restrictions on limiting social gatherings, banning indoor sporting events, closings gyms, bars, and restaurants, implementing stricter occupancy restrictions for businesses, restricting funerals and weddings, etc.

But apart from those restrictions, he also targeted places of worship and the free exercise thereof, putting hard limits on how many people can attend church, who can and can’t sing, and who can and can’t play instruments.

Religious Services are limited to 25 percent of indoor occupancy limits, or no more than 200 people, whichever is fewer. Congregation members/attendees must wear facial coverings at all times and congregation singing is prohibited. No choir, band, or ensemble shall perform during the service. Vocal or instrumental soloists are permitted to perform, and vocal soloists may have a single accompanist. Outdoor services must follow the Outdoor Dining Guidance.

Apart from those restrictions, there are also rules on social distancing, sanitation, and mask-wearing, with no congregation member or allowed to take their mask off at any point throughout the service or while in the church building, under threat of fines or jail time.

With the season changing and outdoor church becoming more and more difficult for those congregations who were bypassing some of the more tyrannical impositions, expect more and more governors to implement similar restrictions.

It’s going to be a long winter.

LA County Clears John MacArthur’s Church in Outbreak Probe, But Master’s Seminary is Running Hot

Grace Community Church (GCC) has had their recent outbreak restrictions lifted by the LA County after three part-time associates and two staff members became ill with COVID, according to a press release on the Church website, but the County is saying, “Not so fast,” when it comes to whether or not the Sun Valley megachurch is complying.

The LA Times released a story a few weeks ago mired in hysterics, to which they claimed that an “outbreak” had occured at GCC. It was later revealed to have been three part-time associates, and then later two more staff.

Jenna Ellis, special counsel for the Church, said this at the time:

Three very mild positive tests among more than 7,000 people is hardly news. 0.0004 or 0.043% is not an ‘outbreak.’ The L.A. Times and others’ grossly misleading and fear-mongering headlines aim to mischaracterize Grace Community Church as irresponsible and a superspreader.

Now that several weeks have passed, GCC released a statement on their website, informing that the outbreak restrictions have been lifted:

Outbreak Restrictions Lifted

We are glad to announce that we received a notice from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health on Thursday, November 12, saying that we have been cleared of COVID-19 outbreak. After a thorough investigation, Public Health officials have decided to rescind all outbreak related requirements and restrictions on Grace Community Church.

We don’t exactly know what particular and specific precautions were being applied, but we do know that the Church is not complying with most previous restrictions, as they are still holding church services indoors, filled to capacity, and are not social distancing or wearing masks.

Warren Throckmorton reached out to LA County to get a comment on GCC’s news, and they sent this statement:

Public Health’s investigation into the Grace Community Church worksite COVID-19 outbreak was recently concluded.  The Church is still required to follow all current Health Officer Order requirements for places of worship, which include outdoor services, as well as all applicable infection control protocols for all activities that occur on the Grace Community Church campus.  Public Health has found that Sun Valley has among the higher rates of COVID-19 transmission in the County of Los Angeles.  Compliance with the required infection control protocols by Grace Community Church will lessen the risk of COVID-19 transmission to its employees and visitors.

So even as the “outbreak” at Grace Church winds down, things are beginning to heat up at The Master’s University and Seminary- which is overseen by GCC. While not particularly as public as the Church itself, they have 14 cases between 130 staff and some 2100 students.

At this time there have been no reports of hospitalizations or deaths.

Pastor Doused with Bucket of Blood by ‘Satanist’ after ‘Let us Worship’ Concert

A pastor has had a bucket of blood poured over his head after attending a ‘Let us Worship’ concert in Washington, DC at the National Mall, in a move that has caused Bethel Church’s worship leader and chief organizer Sean Feucht to claim the act was done by a satanist and highlighting a growing pushback from protesters bent out of shape over the traveling worship show.

The unknown assailant ran up to Pastor Charles Kuruku, who had been attending and participating in the event, and doused him with it before running off.

In the aftermath of his horrific action, Kuruku commented as he was cleaning blood off his hands and face:

I just got sprayed with blood right here in Washington DC. It’s a white guy. Look at what he did to me. He just like, ‘Pow!’ I didn’t even know what was going on, I just felt blood thrown on me.

Anyway, it is what it is, but the Lord is powerful. He is mightier than this. No weapon formed against us will prosper. Every tongue that rises in judgment will be condemned. I declare this demonic sacrifice is broken It’s not going to prevail in the name of Jesus. Keep us in prayer. We cannot be silenced by this type of violence and intimidation in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Kuruku is going to have the blood tested to ensure it is not contaminated and to determine what sort of blood it is. It is unclear at this moment who poured it on him.

We’ve been chronicling these outdoor worship concerns for months now, which have grown from a few hundred individuals to tens of thousands.

Not only are these times of worship where people can sing unmasked and in large groups with fellow believers, frustrated by government and church leadership that has kept the churches closed and restrained, but they are also an occasion where the dark arts of charismatic manifestations occur.

‘Let us Worship’ mixes ordinarily sound practices of baptisms, preaching, salvation, and prayer with speaking in tongues, people being slain in the spirit, uncontrollable weeping and shaking, and claims of hundreds of miracles and healings. Sadly, the presence of these practices and the normalization of Bethel Churchtaint that is on the face of it is a brave and courageous act of defiance by the collective body of Christ.

Feucht claims he was told by security over 35,000 people attended the event. Though that number may be exaggerated, what is not is the fact that millions of people watch the events online, which has enabled him to gain influence and visibility, fast becoming one of the most recognized worship leaders in the church today. He announced that he has a new book coming out tomorrow, which is so far doing well on pre-orders.

15,000 Member Megachurch Announces No In-Person Gatherings Until COVID-19 Vaccine Developed

With some megachurches like Andy Stanley’s Northpoint Church and Southern Baptist Convention presidentJ.D. Greear’s summit Church staying closed until 2021, even as some megachurches like Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church have resumed service, one Pastor has taken the boldest and most unbiblical step yet, announcing that his church will not resume in-person services until a coronavirus vaccine is developed and widely distributed.

World Overcomer’s Church’s in North Carolina, a non-denominational congregation that boasts 15,000 members, made the decision to not meet for in-person services until a vaccine is developed, a prospect many are saying may take between 1-3 years, if one comes at all. Instead, the church says that it will only have “virtual services” services for the near and far future, with Senior Pastor Andy Thompson telling CBS17 news:

Church for us is just growing. We’ve never had this many people watching…I don’t think I’ll ever go back to having church the way I did before.

When our people are able to come back together, they’re going to want to greet one another and hug one another, and in my estimation, the risks are too great. We have to figure out ways to minister to people beyond just them risking contact in the middle of a pandemic.

The Pastor, who the church website describes as “an international faith leader, life coach and relationship expert on his mission to help you discover the keys to making good decisions” and a “balanced-life strategist” who is “master teacher on this subject” says that he doesn’t think any churches should be open right now, saying:

Every time they tell me they’re having meetings, I always say, ‘You might want to rethink that. Do you really have to have meetings to minister the gospel of Christ?’ Figure out a way to be effective when it comes to the future.
