Prominent Indiana pastor and “anti-sex exploitation” advocate David Wigington, who has been accused of hiring escorts and prostitutes while on ministry-related trips, has had his ministerial credentials revoked by the Assemblies of God General Council Credentials Committee.
Wigington is the lead pastor of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship in Bloomington, Indiana, and the (now former) Director of Church Relations for Project Rescue, a “global, faith-based network that rescues and restores women and children who are survivors of sexual slavery and human exploitation.”
After Jo Fipps (a longtime congregant and church volunteer) discovered Wigington’s purported secret life after receiving one of the pastor’s old computers, he tried through multiple avenues to tell multiple entities about Wigington’s purported misdeeds, but was stymied at every turn.
The obstructionists include Cornerstone Church which said they believed in his innocence, and by the Indiana District Assemblies of God, who reportedly had no interest in properly investigating. It was only after telling his story to The Roys Report that things blew up, especially when they provided images and screenshots alleging to be between Wigington and various prostitutes, along with a trove of evidence.

Fipps shared on his FB page:
Last night, the Indiana District Assemblies of God sent the attached email to Indiana ministers. The statement is vague, offers basically no information, and I have addressed my concerns about it with District leadership.
But at least he has been dismissed and their investigation is over.
For those not familiar with AG terminology, for many offenses and instances of minister misconduct, they recommend a temporary suspension and restoration period. Dismissal is more permanent.

Now, however, despite Wigington being dismisses by the Assemblies of God (meaning he cannot be a pastor in his denomination) his church is standing with him and is threatening to leave the AOG over it. Fipps continues:
This past Sunday, October 18th, 2026, Cornerstone Staff used the entire service (EDITORS NOTE. They cut their live stream during this portion) to deny the allegations, discredit the Indiana District’s investigation, and attack me and other local ministers. Staff members took turns speaking for almost an hour, and the congregation was lied to many times. (I assume that David was the only person intentionally lying, and the majority of the other staff members are simply deceived.)
The “conclusion” if you will, was that Cornerstone has scheduled a business meeting on November 1st to vote to leave the Assemblies of God (they cancelled the business meeting that was previously scheduled on October 22nd). They passed out a fake constitution and bylaws with sweeping changes made to it and are attempting to leave the AG illegally. I will be sharing a lot more about that soon as well as proof that they have broken their own bylaws several times over.
As one response to Fipp’s statement summarized “Cornerstone is giving us an absolute master class on how to permanently destroy your reputation after a scandal. They’re just making it worse and worse and worse for themselves at every step. It’s gone from sinful and selfish to just completely idiotic.”
As a result of sharing and accessing the files on the laptop, Wigington filed a police report against Fipps, with the Roys Report reporting he’s been charged with “a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in prison.”
h/t to XA & The Lions Den for the post pic. If you have any involvement with the AOG, or care about abuse in the church in general, they are a good group to follow, like and support.
