‘Last Surviving Evangelist Who Served With Billy Graham’ Dies at 86

(BEGA) Robert Cunville, a preacher and evangelist from India, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Jan. 17. He had partnered with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) since 1978 when Billy Graham personally invited him to join the team—recognizing Cunville’s heart for the Gospel and keen eye for small details. 

“He was the last surviving evangelist who worked with my father,” Franklin Graham said. “He was one of the most humble, godly men I’ve ever known. He will be greatly missed. … He was such an encouragement to me and to our team.”

For nearly five decades, Cunville faithfully shared the Good News with over 5 million people in his home country—where Christians are a minority—and in 28 countries across Africa, Asia, and Europe.
