Pastor Ed Young of Fellowship Church in Grapevine, Texas, raised more than $22,000 by auctioning off chalk drawings he created live during his Christmas season services.
The “Light of the World” collection is a set of six one-of-a-kind chalk drawings created by Young during the church’s “Christmas Worship Experiences” on December 23 and 24.
While only five paintings and auction results are listed, the highest listed price was $6,010 and the lowest $3,500.
All proceeds from this auction will be used to support Fellowship Church’s Anchor Project, a new 60,000-square-foot multipurpose venue that will serve as an “extensive space for youth events, community-wide events, seminars, coaching and training, as well as a pavilion, sports courts, children’s playgrounds, and more!”
Features of the Anchor Project include a pavilion, basketball and pickleball courts, a café, a 1,200-seat worship center, indoor and outdoor playgrounds, a space to launch their fully accredited leadership and Bible college, a music studio, an outdoor amphitheater, and more.
