Trump’s Spiritual Advisor, Paula White, Praises Moonies Cult Leader: ‘I Believe In Your Calling’
Paula White-Cain is the head pastor of City of Destiny Church and one of President Donald Trump’s spiritual advisors. We last wrote about her after she insisted that Christians must not convert Jews and giggled while her husband recommended that Christian couples watch pornography together.
During the 2025 Universal Peace Federation’s World Peace Summit, White, who routinely speaks at their events, repeatedly praised “Mother Moon,”otherwise known as Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, saying, “I believe in your calling and your assignment from heaven. And I join you in supporting the path of unity, family, faith, and peace.” Previously she declared that Mother Moon “loves the Lord” and “carries such a tremendous calling of God in this earth.”
Mother Moon is the widow of the Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon, co-founder of the Universal Peace Federation and the Unification Church.
In other words, they’re Moonies.
Widely regarded as a cult, Moonies believe that the late Reverend Sun Myung Moon was the Messiah sent by God to complete the mission that Jesus Christ could not fulfill during his earthly ministry, and in fact completely failed at. Rev. Moon is seen as the “True Parent” who has come to restore humanity to its original sinless state and bring about the ideal world. They believe he and Hak Ja Han Moon were the first couple able to bring forth children with no original sin.
Moonies twist the Bible and routinely reject large portions of it. They deny Jesus was God, view his crucifixion as a failure to establish God’s Kingdom on Earth, and argue that he was meant to marry and have a family but was unable to do so.
Rev. Moon, on the other hand, is believed to have fulfilled this mission through his marriage to Hak Ja Han Moon, whom they consider the “True Mother.” Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon has previously insisted that “Christianity’s two-thousand-year history was to prepare for the only-begotten-daughter of God”– which is her.
While that sounds like an assignment from hell whose path of faith we should not support, White told the gathered crowd:
I’m deeply honored to stand before you today…You’ve not only been in my prayers, but I have been here for several decades, believing God with you in standing, standing in my capacity as a pastor and as a spiritual leader in the United States…”
Let me also extend my deepest appreciation to Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon and her late husband, Reverend Sun Moon, who founded the Washington Times and the Peace Federation, for their transformative leadership and their dedication to world peace.
Under Dr. Moon’s guidance, the World Summit conferences like this one have become sanctuaries of dialogue where even representatives from nations in conflict sit together in peace. And that is important in our world today.
As we look around this room, we cannot deny the presence of the divine, of God at work. Jesus prayed in John chapter 17 verse 21, that ‘all may be one.’
Dr. Moon, we believe this summit is part of fulfilling that holy prayer.
She continues:
You have reminded us all in this new era to strive toward holiness and be in harmony with heaven, even as the Bible tells us in 1 Peter chapter 1, verse 15 and 16, to ‘be holy as I am holy.’
We also come together today with hope for the peaceful reunification of the Korean Peninsula. It is why many of us stand in this gap. It is a hope that some consider impossible, but I am reminded of miracles every single day and that with God all things are possible.
I’ve had the blessing of being with Mother Moon on many different occasions and I want to thank her for her courageous and undaunting faith and the path that she and her husband [began?] when as Christian leaders they escaped the communist persecution of North Korea.
Reverend Moon’s escape from a death camp and Dr. Moon’s journey South as a child are testimonies of God’s enduring call to reconciliation.
Dr. Moon, I believe in your calling and your assignment from heaven. And I join you in supporting the path of unity, family, faith, and peace.
