J29 Coalition Head Endorses Book By ‘LGBTQ-Affirming Exvangelical’ Married to a Cross Dresser

The J29 Coalition is a “faith outreach initiative’ created by the American Values Coalition (AVC) to be a “network of theologically conservative pastors seeking to disciple the American Evangelical church in kingdom-shaped politics.”

Their mission is threefold: “Host conferences, digital workshops, and in-person retreats for clergy, ministry leaders, and theologians, curate resources for clergy and congregations, and connect pastors with opportunities for care, coaching and connection.”

The major problem, however, is that there’s hardly a soul in their cohort coalition that could credibly be described as ‘theologically conservative.”

J29 is led by Caleb Campbell, a doctoral student at Fuller Theological Seminary and serves as the Lead Pastor of Desert Springs Bible Church in Phoenix, Arizona. He also runs a Missionary to Christian Nationalists. Campbell previously admitted that he lost nearly 80% of his congregation because he wouldn’t stop talking about race relationships and immigration, frequently from a left wing bent.

Earlier this year, as quoted by @WokePreacherTV, Campbell “published an interview with progressive exvangelical April Ajoy, endorsing (without qualification) her book that explicitly states “queer affirming” is the only right and loving position for Christians to take on sexuality.

Campbell even compares her being “hated by evangelical” to Paul and Jesus facing resistance from “the religious elite” in Judea.

Ajoy is a co-host of The New Evangelicals with Tim Whitaker and in 2022 produced a podcast called “The Non-Binary Marriage” boasting of her husband becoming a cross-dresser. She celebrates Pride Month and explicitly denies the inerrancy of scripture.

Ajoy’s book, endorsed by Campbell, declares: “After years of praying and learning, I am now fully queer affirming and hold to an inclusive faith.” She says this position is held by “those willing to choose love over dogma.”

Furthermore, in a little-seen interaction with progressive subversives a few years back, Campbell revealed his own position on biblical sexuality is…quite slippery.

Not the type of person pastors of any kind should be listening to.
