Steve Lawson was added as a speaker to an upcoming Christian conference in error, according to sources close to Protestia, and will not be speaking there after all.
Earlier today we reported that months after being removed from “all ministry activities” by Trinity Bible Church in Dallas for having an inappropriate relationship with a young woman who was not his wife, prominent preacher and speaker Steve Lawson briefly appeared as a speaker at an upcoming Christian conference before being removed hours later.
Lawson, who publicly repented of his adulterous affair in March of last year, appeared at the Contending for the Faith Expository Preaching & Teaching Conference, which is presented by the Tennessee Baptist Missionary & Educational Convention (TBMEC), a regional body of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.
According to sources his appearance was in error.
The conference organizers advertised Lawson’s participation without his knowledge or consent. They invited him to be a speaker, but before hearing that he intended to decline, there was an internal misunderstanding that led them to assume he would agree.
As soon as he found out about it, he informed them of his declining the offer, and they promptly removed him from the line-up, which explains why his name and bio details disappeared after a few hours.

Well, he did the right thing. However, I do miss his preaching. As far as I know, notice how some Reformed pastors stay away from the pulpit, unlike some of our charismatic brothers.
