Earlier this month prominent Christian recording artist Forrest Frank launched a new band project with fellow mucisian Noah Hayden called Dawn Patrol, releasing their first single SOS.

The Grammy-nominated artist, who has won multiple awards including 2024 Artist of the Year, is best known for his hits “Good Day,” “Your Way’s Better,” “Lemondade ,”and “Up.”Frank shared on Instagram:

Days after they launched their new project, however, they’ve had to pivot after being contacted by another band of the same name.

“So basically, long story short, for like six months, we’ve been working on this project called Dawn Patrol and we were so excited to release it and we hit a little bump in the road.

Months months of work, tens of thousands of dollars, we start launching this project and someone comes forward saying, hey, we have that name.

And then our distributor said like, hey, as a we’re sorry, we’ll pay $10,000 to like give y’all the rights to the name. That whole thing didn’t work out.

And I asked the distributor, said, hey, that $10,000, could we use that to pay whoever names our band? And they were like, yeah, I don’t see why not.

Frank says anyone wanting to enter simply needs to give their Instagram page a follow and post a band name in the comment section.
