‘Outdoor Boys’ Luke Nichols Appointed To Mormon Advisory Council

Prominent YouTuber Luke Nichols, of the channel “Outdoor Boys” has been appointed to the Young Men General Advisory Council of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Nichols earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Brigham Young University and served a full-time mission for the Church in Japan. He later became a lawyer and practiced criminal defense law.

An avid outdoorsman, his YouTube channel features him and his children going on outdoor adventures and engaging in survavalist scenarios. He amassed more than 18 million subscribers before announcing his retirement six months ago, citing a desire for more privacy and less attention from throngs of fans .

According to a press release from the LDS church, “These individuals will assist the Young Men general presidency as they counsel with other general and local Church leaders to teach, serve and watch over the young men around the world.
