‘Last Days’ Film About the Life of Martyred Missionary John Allen Chau Hits Theaters Oct 24

A new film, directed by Justin Lin, known for high-octane blockbusters like The Fast and the Furious saga, Star Trek Beyond, and S.W.A.T., is set to explore the remarkable and tragic true story of John Allen Chau, an American missionary martyred in 2018.

The movie chronicles Chau’s life, from his upbringing to his fateful decision to pursue a missionary calling over his father’s wishes for him to become a doctor.

The film details Chau’s missionary life, efforts, and ideology up until he illegally entered the North Sentinel Island to try to convert the isolated Sentinelese, and was subsequently martyred by them.

The movie is releasing in theaters on October 24.
