The Chosen season five has set a Guinness World Record for “the most translated season for a streaming series in history,” according to the Come and See Foundation, which has translated season five into 50 different languages.
The Come and See foundation was established by a “group of passionate believers and experienced professionals to come alongside The Chosen to grow its reach and impact globally.” Their goal is to “provide resources, technology, ministry connections and expertise to help The Chosen reach its goal of having a billion people experience an authentic Jesus through this series and related content” by translating it into 600 languages.
This feat, which will “allow 95% of the people worldwide to experience The Chosen in their own heart language.”
Giavani Cairo, who plays Thaddeus in The Chosen, told Movie Guide.
It’s incredible. It’s honestly humbling. You know, when Season 5 comes up on THE CHOSEN app, September 28th, it’s gonna be in 50 different languages. We just got word — it’s a Guinness World record…and it’s incredible. It’s gonna be able to connect so many people from so many different walks of life, in so many different areas at the same time. So, it’s mind-blowing.”
