Street Preacher Ray Comfort Questioned By Police After Being Falsely Accused of Chasing Woman
Street Preacher Ray Comfort recently shared a bizarre incident where he was questioned by multiple police officers after a woman claimed he chased her following a distressing encounter.
Living Waters evangelist Ray Comfort, whose ministry consists of passing out tracts and engaging passersby with the law and gospel at the Huntington Beach pier, reveals what happened with one woman after they finished an interview:
“Three police officers questioned me because a woman said I had chased her after an interview. When she said that I chased her, I told the police that I didn’t and that we had the entire incident on two cameras. My film crew were also witnesses to back me up. The woman left as soon as I said that it was on video. It’s amazing how one woman’s testimony against a man has the potential nowadays to ruin his reputation. She told the police that I had chased her down the pier.”
In a video of the incident, the woman can clearly be seen walking away.
Speaking more of the encounter, Comfort told the Christian Post:
If I remember correctly, the interview began with me asking if she believed in an afterlife and whether she thought she was good enough to go to Heaven when she died. I then walked her through some of the Ten Commandments to show that none of us are good enough to earn Heaven.
Then, quite suddenly, she said that if I were really a Christian, I would be talking about God’s love. With that, she turned and walked away.”
