City Life Church Pastor Andy Adkison Mysteriously Nuked From Ministry
City Life Church in Wichita, KS, has quietly removed lead pastor Andy Adkison from the pulpit, according to a new report by the Christian Post, which explains that he preached his last sermon more than a month ago and has seemingly been excised from the congregation.
Adkison, who is married with three children and is an SBTS graduate, joined the church in early 2021 after being unanimously called. A week after his last sermon, City Life Church’s pastor of discipleship, Brett Wiley, preached and then invited members to stay after and discuss “sensitive” information presumed to be related to their missing pastor.
“If you’re not a par- if you’re not all the way in with us, either a member or maybe you’ve been attending for a long time, we’d invite you to go ahead and leave and we’ll see you next week.
As for the member meeting, we will be discussing some sensitive information. So we are continuing kids’ ministry through that time. We’d invite you to leave your kiddos there if you’re a member or you’re staying for the meeting, or if you have kids in the room, we’d ask you to be wise as parents.”
Since then, he’s been removed from the staff leadership page, and the church has declined to respond to any requests for more information.
