Police Investigating Targeted Assassination Of New Christian Outside Seattle Church
Police are investigating the murder of 28-year-old Christopher “LeBron” Castleberry, after he was shot outside a church late last week.
Described as a “targeted attack,’ Castleberry was at a youth BBQ event with his wife and young son when surveillance video shows the gunman exiting a white vehicle, opening fire, and then returning to the car, which was later found torched and set on fire.
Multiple children attending the event saw the murder occur, which happened in broad daylight. Pastor Russell Johnson told King 5 News:
“It’s an unbelievable tragedy for our community to see one of our Pursuit church members gunned down in this brazen, broad daylight assassination on church property. It’s the worst day in public ministry I’ve ever had….He got born again. His life was changing. He decided to get married. He changed the music he was making and wanted to sing songs that highlighted his testimony. It’s gut-wrenching. It’s horrendous. It’s evil. It’s wicked.”
The church has offered a $50K reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect,
