These YouTube Channels Trick Millions By Posting AI-Generated Paul Washer Sermons

Paul Washer Speaks bills itself as the “Official Paul Washer Motivation Channel!” whose goal is to provide “Your daily dose of unstoppable energy, mindset mastery, and life-changing inspiration.” Hosted by Paul Washer- a “speaker, life strategist, and believer in human potential”- the channel aims to offer its listeners:

💭 Deep mindset motivation
🎯 Goal-setting strategies
🚀 Success habits & daily routines
📈 Personal growth & leadership talks
🕊️ Faith-driven motivation (when applicable)

Posting their first message about a month ago, they’ve uploaded 64 “Paul Washer sermons” featuring strange titles on subjects he doesn’t preach on, including:

My Heartfelt Tribute To The Life And Legacy Of John MacArthur
The Origin of Black People According to the Bible
4 Sexual Sins You Commit Daily With Wife
This Rapture Dream Shook Me to the Core – Urgent End Times Wake-Up Call

Of course, all these sermons are AI-generated, but not everyone can tell. One sermon titled ‘Be Chosen by God Without Going to Any Church,’ about why Christians don’t need to attend church, has garnered multiple passionate comments, praising Paul Washer for his insights and reaffirming their conviction that they don’t need to be part of a local body.

It’s not just one channel but there are dozens of them. There is Paul David Washer 2024, a channel created a year ago with 483 Paul Washer sermons —some of them receiving tens of thousands of views.

It has a regular mix of strange titles like “God’s Warning for 2024 That Cannot Be Ignored,” which has amassed 42,000 views and has comments like:

Or there is Daily Moments (With Paul Washer). This channel’s mission is “to fuel your mind with powerful speeches, success stories, life lessons, and daily wisdom to keep you inspired.” They have more than 8000 subscribers, and their top sermons have tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of views.

And comments like this:

There is Paul Washer, a new channel with just 5 subs and 19 videos, but adding daily.

There is Paul Washer Sermons, which has A.I. sermons in Sspanish.

There is The Secret of the Holy Spirit.

Also Paul Washer’s Fuel for Success, which seems oddly focused on sex and what the bible says about masturbation and Onanism.

And a dozen more. Everything about these channels is computer-generated. Yet, because Washer has decades of sermon archives to train an AI bot on, it provides these programs with ample information to generate and remix an unlimited number of new Paul Washer-inspired AI sermons.

In a world where voices are becoming more and more lifelike, the results are still fairly convincing, and we don’t fault anyone who may be fooled.

  1. Like many things, AI in and of itself isn’t bad. Of course Satan can take it and make it a tool for evil, and that’s what’s happening here.
