Allison Beth Barr Says Command To Be ‘Fruitful and Multiply’ is ‘Rooted in White Supremacy’?

While the Southern Baptist Convention held its annual convention, another Baptist group gathered in the shadows of the event. Baptist Women in Ministry, a national organization dedicated to “advocating for the full affirmation of women in ministry and leadership in Baptist life,” met nearby in a United Methodist church where they criticized motions and amendments trickling out of the meeting.
Two of the speakers were Meredith Stone, Executive Director of BWIM and interim teaching pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Waco, Texas, (An SBC Church) and Allison Beth Barr, a prominent progressive egalitarian and historian at Baylor University, who we’ve covered a few times in our posts:

Speaking about the event, the RNS reports:
At a separate Baptist Women in Ministry event held at a United Methodist church near the convention center, two speakers critiqued that resolution’s references to a biblical mandate to “be fruitful and multiply” and acceptance of “pursuing willful childlessness which contributes to a declining fertility rate.” ....Beth Allison Barr, author of “Becoming the Pastor’s Wife: How Marriage Replaced Ordination as a Woman’s Path to Ministry,” said the language is rooted in white supremacy.
“It’s a replacement theory that we need to have more white babies,” she told BWIM Executive Director Meredith Stone, “and especially white babies within conservative evangelical spaces, because that’s the way to raise up that theology.”
I am shocked … shocked that a Woke individual would say Woke things.
