Josh Buice Sent Tip To ‘The Roys Report,’ Accusing Voddie Baucham of Misappropriating $1M in Donations

Former G3 President and disqualified elder of Pray Mills Baptist Church, Josh Buice, sent an anonymous tip to news organization The Roys Report, accusing Voddie Baucham of using a ghostwriter to write his book ‘Fault Lines’ and misappropriating over a million dollars in GoFundMe donations.

Earlier this week, G3 announced that “the elders of PMBC uncovered irrefutable evidence that Dr. Buice has, for the past three years, operated at least four anonymous social media accounts, two anonymous email addresses, and two Substack platforms. These accounts were used to publicly and anonymously slander numerous Christian leaders, including faithful pastors (some of whom have spoken at G3 conferences), several PMBC elders, and others. These actions were not only sinful in nature but deeply divisive, causing unnecessary suspicion and strife within the body of Christ, and particularly within the eldership of PMBC.”

We previously revealed two of the accounts he was using.

Along with emailing Protestia under a pseudonym requesting that we look into some issues relating to John MacArthur and The Master’s Seminary, The Roys Report has revealed that he also contacted them under the name “Tom Smith” with allegations of financial misconduct potentially totaling $1.1M.

In 2021, Voddie Baucham, who was living in Zambia, experienced a significant health crisis that saw him hours from death. He underwent a dangerous 40-hour trek back to the United States and barely made it to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL, where he was treated for “full-blown heart failure” and where he eventually underwent quadruple bypass surgery. Sharing that he had no insurance and would have to pay out of pocket, his GoFundMe managed to raise $400,000 in 12 hours and over $1,000,000 a few days later.

At the time, Founders President Tom Ascol shared:

However, Buice was not convinced of these costs, sharing that “People should know where the money is if they gave it for an emergency operation and it’s being used for something else. That’s deceitful.”

Baucham has been prominently featured many times on the G3 website and has multiple sessions and messages uploaded. He was previously a speaker at the 2021, 2023, and 2024 G3 conference.

  2. That’s just plain evil. Is Buice really saved ? He needs to check himself to see if he’s really in the faith.

  3. Was Buice’s suggestion that the medical expense fund became a slush fund based on insider information, or was it pure speculation on his part?

  4. I can tell you as someone in medical field; heart failure and its ongoing treatment, even after surgery, medication alone possibly cost 1000 per month. Add the follow-ups I don’t doubt that 1 million will be needed help with all the costs over the next 5-10 years.
