G3 Ministries has accepted the resignation of president Josh Buice and canceled their 2025 conference, according to statements from G3 and Prays Mill Baptist Church, where Buice serves as an elder.

According to the statement, Buice had, over the last three years, operated several anonymous social media accounts, Substack accounts, and anonymous emails, which he used to “publicly and anonymously slander numerous Christian leaders, including faithful pastors (some of whom have spoken at G3 conferences), several PMBC elders, and others.”

Perhaps most concerningly, Buice demonstrated a pattern of lying about his connection to the accounts, including two hours of direct denial before finally coming clean:

In each case, he denied any knowledge of them. On Sunday evening, May 4, 2025, after clear and comprehensive evidence emerged linking the accounts directly to him, the elders of PMBC confronted Josh. For two hours, he continued to deny his involvement. Only after further evidence was presented and much pleading with him to walk in the light did Josh finally confess to his actions.

At the insistence of the G3 Ministries board, Buice submitted his resignation on May 8th, and has taken “indefinite leave until the church is able to determine a more detailed path forward.” Interestingly for the continuing “permanently disqualified” conversation, Buice reportedly considers himself permanently disqualified from eldership, but Prays Mill Baptist Church does not “believe at this time that his sin is necessarily permanently disqualifying.”

We last tussled with Buice over the issue of church membership and discipline as it relates to Steve Lawson after Buice insisted that Lawson was, in fact, a member of Trinity Bible Church in Dallas. This pushback occurred in the wake of our reporting that Lawson was not a member, relying on both insider information and the fact that Lawson had not submitted to discipline but had instead left the state.
