Karen Swallow Prior Joins Gaggle of Christ-Hating Progressives at ‘The Wild Goose Festival’
Karen Swallow Prior has been announced as a speaker at the Wild Goose Festival, taking her place at the storied event that is half-part Burning Man and half-part Harrowing of Hell, populated by heretics who’d just as soon smoked weed rolled in bible pages than preach from it.
Established in 2011, the Wild Goose Festival was initially intended as a safe space for progressives to gather and fellowship in darkness, playing with and preaching theology in a way that resembled Christianish thinking while still having some plausible claim of orthodoxy.
It has grown exponentially and has since given up all pretense, now spanning four days at a campground in Union Grove, NC and featuring more than twelve venues and 300 ‘transformative workshops, music, talks, and creative sessions’. With an estimated 3000-3500 attendees, the festival’s popularity among progressives and those who identify as LGBTQ and Pro-choice is undeniable.
Since its inception, the Wild Goose Festival has garnered a reputation as a hotbed of heresy, attracting both budding and seasoned progressive “Christians” who have cast off the boundaries of traditional beliefs. The festival’s lineup reads like a who’s who of wild-eyed heretics and pagan witches, nearly all of whom have been featured on our and Woke Preacher’s TV channel, further fueling the controversy surrounding the event.
Past guests have included Jim Wallis, Brandan Robertson, Brian McLaren, Phyllis Tickle, Tony Campolo, Derek Webb, Nadia Bolz-Webber, Richard Rohr, Rachel Held Evans, William Barber, Pete Enns, John Pavlovitz, David Gushee, Doug Pagitt, Jennifer Knapp, Matthew Paul Turner.
Guests this year include Drag queen Flamy Grant, Jim Wallis, Jacquie Lewis, David Gushee, Brian McLaren, Bee Crawford, Rob Schenck, Jennifer C. Martin and Karen Swallow Prior.
To give a brief sketch of just two of those speakers, first there is Dr. Jacqui Lewis, who was endorsed and platformed by Jemar Tisby. Her theology is so vile and unorthodox that she blows everyone out of the water. She’s an openly pro-choice, pro-LGBTQ, queer universalist pastrix who denies the literal second coming of Christ because “the second coming of Christ is you and me.”
Then there is Jennifer Martin. According to her bio, she’s “a dirtbag Christian and a polyamorous writer living in Richmond, Va., with two of her three partners and two children. When she’s not trolling on social media, she enjoys baking, yoga, and gaming. She graduated from Lee University in 2009 and is now a member of the United Church of Christ.
It is also sponsored by some of the most satanic organizations around:
Some of the talks that will be given at the event include:
It’d be one thing if Swallow Prior was going to the event with the plan to rebuke them all and call them to repentance- we’d love to see that. Given her trajectory however, we have no reason to believe that would ever happen, and are not surprised in the least that the organizers feel comfortable counting her among them.
There are two main churches today:
The Biblical Church — people who base their beliefs/values as much as humanly possible on the Bible, and
The World-Approved Church — people who claim Christ, but their beliefs/values are approved by the world/enemies of Christ.
And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.”

I heard a rumor that they were going to sacrifice a virgin at this Festival. Good look finding one there…
They may go for a minor and appease Molech as well as Astaroth at the same time
HaHa – do y’all use the same ChatGPT that the Babylon Bee does to hurl invectives at folks you don’t agree with? Y’all should come on out to Wisdom Camp and see if we can find some common ground. Come, let us reason together…
– Sincerely, a Wild Goose Festival founder
