‘Christ Lutheran Church’ Volunteers Facilities For ‘Drag Queen Story Hour’ After Library Cancels Event
A month after a library in Alaska canceled a Drag Queen story hour planned by radical LGBTQ activists, an equally radical LGBTQ-affirming church stepped in and offered its facilities for the event.
A month ago, Soldotna Public Library announced that they were canceling ‘Love your neighbor storytime,’ an event by Solsotna Pride featuring a drag queen reading to small children, following protests and public outcry.
According to The Alaska Watchman, this is not the first time Soldotna Pride has targeted young children in promoting various sexual identities and expressions.
The group’s annual “Pride in the Park,” has includes radical LGBTQ activists parading through town before gathering at a local park for “all ages” variety shows that include sexually suggestive drag queen dancers and LGBTQ-themed costume contests.
In recent years, the event has sparked heated controversy for hosting performances in which one man men dressed in a costume that appeared to be a miniskirt and a thong as he twerked and did backflips in front of young children. Another performance had a man in a leather miniskirt gyrating in front of minors.
Stepping in to save the day is Christ Lutheran Church in Soldotna, AK, an Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA_) church led by impastor Rev. Meredith Harber, who offered their services and facilities.
Due to the controversy of the event, the drag queen initially tasked to read to the children backed out, leading to a more typical reading-type event.

While I would suggest replacing the word “liberal” with “leftist,” I’d say this report matches my anecdotal observations.
