Church’s Christmas Spectacular Includes Fire. A Lot of Fire

A Georgia megachurch has raised eyebrows with its Sunday morning Christmas spectacular after featuring live animals, aerial dancers, and a lot of fire.

Free Chapel is a multi-site megachurch church based in Gainesville, Georgia. Pastored by author, televangelist, and notorious bible twister Jentezen Franklin, the church put on a two-hour-long production of the nativity story. The show was filled with Christmas songs and sermon snippets, along with a gospel message from Jentezen at the very end, following his saxophone solo.

During one segment, the narrator introduces King Herod in his lair, who is seen drinking and skulking while performers dance with fire, lighting their swords and equipment with flames from the floor.

  1. Jentezen is literally one of the least engaging and biblically illiterate faux pastors out there. This silly show will do nothing to boost his standing although he already has a incredible number of goats that follow him

And David Hughes is not concerned in the least. His position as chief goat herder with gaudy, Christless stage spectacles at Church by the Glades is still unchallanged.
