Jordan Peterson’s Daughter Promotes Mark Driscoll’s Church+ Driscoll Plays the Bully
Months ago, Jordan Peterson’s daughter Mikhaila announced that after finally being convinced that attending a church was important, she found one worth promoting and watching, none other than Mark Driscoll’s Trinity Church in Scottsdale, AZ.
Given that Driscoll is a pathological liar, culty control freak, shockingly thinned-skinned, and has long been disqualified from the ministry for many ministerial deeds, that she or anyone would endorse him is highly concerning.
Driscoll’s new church was purposefully created to have no elders, as after his old ones ousted him from Mars Hill a decade ago and over he vowed that would never happen again, setting up internal structures and hierarchies to give him absolute power and no accountability.
According to Driscoll’s former head of security at Trinity Church, Chad Freese, Driscoll’s mouth hasn’t gotten any cleaner over the years, allegedly dropping the f-bomb and telling staffers that they lack “balls” or are acting like a bunch of “p*ssies” when they disagree with him or do not enact his edicts fast enough.
Freese also alleges that Driscoll set up a grading system known as the “Spectrum of Trust” where he ranks staff members and volunteers on a 1-10 scale based on their perceived loyalty to him. The higher your number, the more access you had to him. If you were caught talking to or being friendly to people Driscoll had deemed off limits, your number was lowered, having “broken trust,” and you would have to make it up to him.
Two years ago, Driscoll set up 24/7 surveillance on one of his congregants, the father of a young man who kissed Driscoll’s teenage daughter, eventually running him out of the church and engaging in some Grade-A unhinging behavior. Needless to say, Trinity Church is rife with red flags.
Knowing this, Jon Root, an independent content creator, warned Mikhaila and others about their association with Driscoll.
Driscoll was in the news after taking bombastic shots at progressive activists and being flamed in response, his culture warring translating into attention and demand to hear more from him. Yet being the petty and insecure wolf, Driscoll and his team tried to squash the criticism, contacting Root’s employer (Turning Point USA) to squeeze and silence him before appearing on their program.
Soon after the incident, TPUSA fired Root, with all signs suggesting that his alarm about Driscoll played a significant role in being dispatched. With Root gone and no more employees openly objecting to his appearance, Driscoll condescended to come on the show, but not before he blocked Root for good measure.
This sort of behavior is par for the course for the disgraced pastor, who shouldn’t be leading a church or preaching in any form but instead should “go home” and take his place and alongside other unqualified and undeserving teachers.
