Hillsong Church Salaries, Royalties, Benefits Revealed. $1.9M, $ 1.7M, $1.5M, $876K, $540K
With the trove of 10,000 Hillsong papers being released to the public, some of the salaries of pastors and leaders within Hillsong have been revealed. While some of the worship pastors were getting royalties off their Hillsong Music, they were also being given large salaries, which Hillsong congregants were paying into.
Here’s a few:
Hillsong Global Senior Pastor Brian Houston was making at least $1,000,000 a year, with royalties and book sales not disclosed, which could easilly be in the millions.
Bobbie Houston was making nearly $500,000, with royalties not disclosed.
In 2016, disgraced pastor Carl Lentz was making at least $340,000, not including honorariums and book royalties. It was disclosed that some pastors were making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year in speaking tours.
Pastors Gary and Cathy Clarke were bringing in $400,000.
Music Pastor Ben Fielding was receiving a salary and music royalties from Hillsong sales, bringing in over $1,500,000, not including tour bonuses.
Music Pastor Matthew Crocker was bringing in over $800,000 a year.
Music Director Brooke Ligerwood was bringing in $1,700,000 not including honorarium and tour bonuses.
Global Creative Direct Joel Houston was bringing $1,900,000 not including his book royalties or tour bonuses.

Seems to be resonable renumeration for services rendered.
I used to wonder why Brooke Ligertwood, who writes theologically sound, wonderful songs, remained in the Hillsong fold. Now I know.
