Pro-life Activist Mark Houck Pursuing Lawsuit Against FBI Agents, State Troopers Following Acquittal

Days after a jury acquitted pro-life activist Mark Houck of violating the FACE act, a bogus charge that saw him facing 11 years in prison after two dozen agents descended on his home with guns drawn to arrest him for an altercation at an abortion clinic, he revealed that he intends to press charges against the FBI agents and state troopers, as well as for the prosecutors, for unfairly targetting his family in what he considered an egregious abuse of the legal system.

Appearing on a recent episode of the “War Room” with Steve Bannon, Houck was asked, “Do you intend to press charges for prosecutorial abuse? And are you going to press charges against the FBI agents and the state troopers?

Houck responded, “We most definitely will and we will be seeking counsel on that.”

According to reports:

Houck was on trial for allegedly violating the Freedom of Access to Clinics Entrances Act (FACE Act) after he shoved a pro-abortion volunteer escort who was harassing his young son outside an abortion clinic in Philadelphia. The defense argued the law does not apply in this case and that Houck was protecting his son from verbal abuse.

The FACE Act prohibits “violent, threatening, damaging, and obstructive conduct intended to injure, intimidate, or interfere with the right to seek, obtain, or provide reproductive health services.” Houck’s attorneys had argued he did nothing to interfere with anyone’s access to the abortion clinic where the incident occurred.

He was facing up to 11 years in prison and a $350,000 fine if the jury had sided with the Biden administration.

Prior to the raid on Houck’s home, attorneys with the Thomas More Society claimed to have sent emails to the FBI, explicitly offering to bring their client in for questioning — an attempt to avert any danger that could have accompanied a public arrest. Those emails, according to Houck’s attorneys, were unanswered — until more than a dozen heavily armed federal agents showed up at his home early one Friday morning to arrest him.

  1. I’m sorry Mr. Houck but you can sue to high heaven and all you’ll be is broke. The people in this nation have always been lead to believe that we have a fair and just legal system. First of all how is it fair when the state has an unending supply of tax payers money to convict you ? Second the cops, lawyers and judges all have a financial and personnel stake in convicting you. Thirdly how dare you think you have any rights that they are not in agreement with theirs. These are Godless people you are dealing with and live to ground your morals into the dirt because Godlessness pays all of them well. God be with you sir.

    1. While I agree that his is an uphill battle, these are the kinds of cases that influence future actions. Now it’s Mr. Houck’s turn to use the law for the good of others who are unafraid to take a stand against the mass slaughter of unborn children.
