  1. God’s Word says it is a sin for a man to be effeminate. It says “stand fast, quit ye like men!” Jesus said the broad (non-fringe) way leads to destruction. He didn’t say anything about the center of any worldly bell curves.

    Aimee Byrd is making an excellent example, in my opinion, of one reason God’s Word also says women should not teach men. She is compelling young boys and men to sin, and to become the opposite of what God expects, as clearly conveyed in His Word.

  3. I would say Aimee is right, but I don’t even know what part of this she is criticizing (I’m assuming it’s any view less feminist than “soft-complementarianism”).

    Based off what these authors have written on their respective masculinity blogs, it’s hard for me to take this book as a serious contribution to larger discussion of masculinity (and by extension, femininity). While I agree with them that there are plenty of shortcomings with the Big C complementarianism as outlined by the CBMW, those problems aren’t going to be addressed by the external trappings of masculinity.

    In all honesty, men are better off reading Dalrock to figure out what the antidote to feminism is.
