Judge Rules 8-Month Old Baby to Be Murdered Today, Against Desperate Parents’ Wishes
England’s High Court has ordered that 8-month-old baby Indy Gregory is to be extubated today at 2 p.m., ending the life of the child against the desperate wishes of her parents.
Gregory was born in February with a rare degenerative mitochondrial disease that saps her strength and makes it so that she can’t produce enough energy for the body to function properly. This leads to progressive brain damage and deterioration, resulting in her being kept on a ventilator for life-sustain treatment.
After the court ruled that it was in the “best interest” of the child to be taken off life-support, the Vatican took an interest in the case. The Italian government called an emergency meeting on Monday and granted Gregory Italian citizenship, pledging to cover all the cost of her transportation and medical treatment at the Vatican’s Bambino Gesù pediatric hospital. Her father, Dean Gregory, said in an interview about the offer from Italy:
“I’m just focused on saving my daughter’s life and doing what’s in Indi’s best interests. She deserves a chance. She has a country offering to pay for everything – we just have to take her over there so it is not costing the hospital or the government anything. …Everybody seems like ‘why won’t they let her go?’ they have nothing to lose.”
But the judge denied that appeal, insisting that any treatment, experimental or otherwise, would only cause Gregory more distress and would not extend or enhance her limited quality of life.
Following the news, the parents sought to at least take their baby home with them to pass away, but the court again ruled that they were forbidden to take the baby out of the hospital because it was “all but impossible” to remove the child’s life support and for the parents to enact the necessary palliative care properly.
Note that this is happening in a country with full gun control. If that happened here, people with guns would, rightly, storm the hospital.
Really ?
Would they though ?
