Video: Blinged-Up Prosperity Preacher Robbed of $1M+ in Jewelry During Church Live Stream

A prosperity preacher was robbed at gunpoint during a live-streamed service, with the thieves relieving him of his filthy lucre and getting away with an estimated $1,000,000 in watches, chains and jewelry, according to reports. (Some estimates say $400,000.)

Bishop Lamor Miller-Whitehead is the founder of Brooklyn-based Leaders of Tomorrow International Ministries, a false church if ever there was one. His ministry was registered as a for-profit business in 2014, and their website says “Leaders of Tomorrow International Churches is a Bible-based, Spirit-led extension of the body of Christ. Our ministry is led by integrity and compassion, as we work to impact the world for the Kingdom of God.” Their vision is to be “an anointed church, a church where God has His way in the service and our lives…a church that honors the principles of tithing, so that we may experience the fullness of God’s Blessings.”

They are also Trinity-deniers, with his website statement of faith reading “There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three manifestations: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.”

Whitehead is no stranger to flouting his ministry gains, previously posting pictures of his excruciatingly expensive swag, such as flashing a diamond studded watch next to his Rolls Royce.

During the July 24 service, three thieves held up the pastor and put a gun to his back while they took he and his wife’s rings and chains, and then fled. He could be initially seen saying “All right, all right” while dropping to his knees.

Whitehead was likely targeted after gaining prominence and visibility following his role in negotiating the surrender of a murder suspect, appearing publicly in gauche displays of wealth and giving thieves the impression he’s loaded and an easy mark. Whitehead has offered a $50,000 reward for anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and capture of the perpetrators, lamenting on Instagram:

To come into a church and traumatize young women and children. The children are still crying. The women are still crying. My wife is crying. You did this to the church and the church where your grandmother praised the Lord.

  2. Hilarious! Couldn’t happen to a more deserving person. Now his cult following will fill the bucket up so he can get more shiny things.

    1. I totally agree. What is it with the black community (and goes into others too, but predominately there) where they keep falling for that crap?! We had a Bentley outside of a local carwash in a rural area where I live several years ago. When I asked who in that town drove it Bentley, I was told it was “Bishop ______. He should drive a Bentley!” I said no minister should be driving a Bentley. Just got a deer in headlights look. My favorite now in our town is the over $200k motor home parked outside of a woman led church. I used to drive by it every Sunday on my way to the church I played at wondering “did they really buy that?!” Yep.
