Church Drives Motorbikes Through The Sanctuary for ‘Freedom Sunday’

Christian Faith Center is a non-denominational, Washington-based multisite church led by co-pastors Casey and Wendy Treat. In addition to his pastoral role, Casey is a ‘motivational speaker’ who hosts a weekly television program called Successful Living. Wendy is an ‘international conference speaker’ and ‘role model.’

For their Freedom Sunday service, the church featured multiple motorcycles driving through the sanctuary and onto the stage, circling around the congregants.

Casey explained that a few years ago, for the Sunday before the 4th of July, they “started doing different things to have fun” and decided to ride Harleys through the church. He reveals “We were thinking of the most offensive thing we could do to a religious person” and this is what they settled on.

  1. You know you’re really following Christ when the driving factor for your services is how to offend particular people. Truth is, it’s really not offensive, just unnecessary and kind of dumb.
