Church Worship Team Intentionally Drops F-Bomb During Praise Song: ‘I’m f*****’ gay and thank God for that’

Zao MKE Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is led by Rev. Jonah P. Overton (they/them) and Cameron Overton. Married in 2018, they present as a gay homosexual couple, when in reality, both are biological women, making them a gay, lesbian couple.
Describing themselves as “Jesus Rooted, Justice Centered, Radically Inclusive,” a Q Worship Collective describes them as “a church that is being recreated and reimagined by people who were historically denied access to traditional Christian leadership.”

We’ve covered them a few times before in our videos:
During their June 8 service, the praise and worship band did a rendition of Semler’s Thank God For That, which includes the lyrics:
Well Jesus loves me, this I know
But people can be so awful
Self-righteous and so critical
Remind me where that’s biblical
But have no fear and have some hope
For the one who made you loves you the most
Every bone in you is a heavenly host
Praise the father, son, and the holy ghost
I’m fuckin’ gay and thank God for that
Christians cast me out but Jesus had my back
And we say hallelujah, we’re all fuckin’ weird
And there’s a place for you at the table, honey, here
(Let’s get louder, let’s go!)
And we say hallelujah, we’re all fuckin’ weird
And there’s a place for you at the table, honey, here
While the band replaced the word ‘f*****” with ‘freakin” in most instances, they intentionally included at least one of them.

So two lesbians pretend to be guys, but are not attracted to women, and are not attracted to guys, but are attracted to women pretending to be guys? Tropic Thunder, just a dude playin a dude disguised as another dude. Yuri Wong wrote a great song on this topic, “I’m a Dude”.
