Episcopalians Announce They’ve Successfully Divested From Fossil Fuels

The Episcopal Church announced yesterday that it had divested entirely from the fossil fuel industry, marking the “culmination of a decade-long shift toward environmentally conscious investments and a significant milestone in the church’s more than 50-year history of socially responsible investing,” according to a press release by the denomination.

With a median congregational age of 69, the Episcopal Church is literally dying. This denomination is thoroughly depraved and ceased long being Christian decades ago, with perhaps only a fraction of a percent of real believers left. Abortion and LGBTQ have long since been lauded and celebrated, and if you throw a stone into a group of Episcopalian priests, a third will be gay, another third will have they/them pronouns, and the rest will be miracle-denying atheists who’d just as soon defecate on the bible than deliver it as God’s word. I mean, just look at our last post about them: Episcopal Pastrix Praises Polyamory as ‘Beautiful, God-given shade of the rainbow’

Proposed by the Executive Council Committee on Corporate Social Responsibility (CCSR) and approved by the 81st General Convention last summer, the devilish denomination made good on their goal to rid themselves of these investments and instead “reinvest divested fossil fuel company assets in clean energy alternatives.”

Speaking of divestments, it was at this conference that the Episcopal Church’s House of Bishops narrowly rejected a resolution declaring Israel an apartheid state and initiating a complete divestment from their country, along with a resolution that expressed solidarity and support for the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions Movement.

Despite failing resolutions, the church’s Executive Council has previously adopted investment-portfolio restrictions in five categories: “human rights, military contracting, for-profit prisons, tobacco products, and fossil fuels.” Israel banks and businesses remain a target for the first category, along with companies like Caterpillar that supply Israel with heavy engineering machinery.
