Megachurch Pastor on FBI’s ‘Most Wanted List’ Surrenders After Weeks-Long Manhunt
Megachurch’ pastor’ and noted heretic Apollo Quiboloy has finally emerged from his compound and surrendered to police on Sunday, after a weeks-long standoff that saw up to 2000 officers deployed to help track him down after violent clashes between thousands of his followers and law enforcement officers cause at least one congregants to die of a heart attack during the melee.
A statement from Quiboloy’s lawyer said that he finally gave himself up because he couldn’t stand the turmoil that his standoff was causing his congregants.
This is to inform the Filipino People that Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy decided to surrender to the PNP/AFP because he does not want the lawless violence to continue to happen in the KOJC Compound and he could not bear to witness a second longer the sufferings that his flock was experiencing for many days.
Quiboloy, 71, is head of The Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) Church, a restoration church in the Philippines that claims 4 million members in the country. They believe that only those within their denomination will be saved and that their pastor had a miraculous birth that was foretold by God himself.
Their crazed leader, who has publicly stated he is “The Appointed Son of God,” is on the run after being charged with “orchestrating a sex trafficking operation that coerced girls and young women (as young as 12) to have sex with the church’s leader under threats of “eternal damnation”
Quiboloy would tell the women and girls that if they did not satisfy his deviant sexual urges, they risked hellfire and damnation for the sin of refusal.
