A Roman Catholic priest will avoid jail time after admitting to posting racist messages in an online neo-Nazi chatroom using the pseudonym ‘skinheadlad1488’.
Fr Mark Rowles, 57, who oversaw the parish at St John Lloyd Catholic Church in Rumney, UK, was suspended last year after being outed by counter-terror police who were monitoring extremist social media groups, in this case the Telegram group ‘Aryan Reich Killers’.
According to the Telegraph “He wrote a number of offensive messages, including one in which he wrote “bomb mosques” and another in which he used a racial slur and said “they should all be strung up or shot”…In a discussion with another user in the group about London’s ethnic diversity, Rowles wrote: “A few bullets to their brains would help.”
Rowles was arrested and later insisted during his police interviews that he was not racist, but rather was merely lonely and had a “sexual fetish for role play.”
In court, he admitted to three counts of ‘sending menacing or offensive messages’ and was sentenced to a 12-month community order, given a $260 fine, ordered to do 150 hours of community service, and put on a three year behavioral order.
A statement from his Diocese reads:

Sounds like he was working with the FBI to try and entrap groypers. Why else is he larping as a “lad” when he’s an old man? He’s a fed.
Dude, the Muslims will start the war. That’s when we will start fighting back.
